I contacted Oppo last night about there issue with the Both of the Opppo's (103d and 203) turning on with different codes numbers

good to hear !  i would load and run the very latest updates to see if helps you.

one quirk i have found is after an update for the first time....the harmony wont jog the oppo from sleep. have to use the oppo remote. after that... it will work fine to power down and power up again with all other gear. its not a big issue for me. and works reliable past that very first time after an update.

Going Shopping today and I will be back later this arvo. I will updat the Oppo and I will test both oppa again for this problem I have with Code 1 and 2. A tleast we get the handshake issue done now because the TV was doing funny things last night trying to connect.

This issue with both the Oppos i can do with just both of the Original ir controllers. No need the Harmony. If it works with an firmware update with the two original ir controllers it will work with the Harmony

Thanks Al

Lastest relaease for the 203 & 205 was on the 26th of June here's what Oppo say about it....

Comparing to the previous Official release version UDP20X-45-0605, the major changes included in this version are:

  1. Added the “Track Type” descriptor when playing an SACD.
  2. Improved HDMI handshake stability when playing Dolby Vision content.
  3. Improved HDMI audio stability when using an HDMI Split A/V connection.
  4. General fixes and disc compatibility improvements based on recent and upcoming UHD Blu-ray releases as well as user-submitted samples.

However I can report that both my Oppos set to different channels on the remote still act as one when either remote is used to turn one on or off so that issue remains as before in fact since release of the 203 as far as i can tell and I'm not using a harmony which if some one is looking for one PM me.

I sent a Email to Interdyn about this issue and he repled to me but he tells me that "quote" The gentleman said "but I don't believe that this can be resolved by changing any settings on the device. In fact, I think it would require a change in the way the units are built in order to preserve these settings".

If this is the case It would be the only device that you cannot use independently. I have Multiple Vu satellite Decoder at home, I have 3 Dreamboxes also at home and all have their own CODE number to make them independent and you can program all with different Codes and ALL operate separately.

Bman I don't run two oppos but am confused why thus is even an issue going on. Surely you are not alone as oppo user with two units. @Kazz has two units not sure if responded how utilising?

Isn't the separate code selection yjere exactly for the case where have two units. Ie that clash in remotes ?

Yep I am running the 203 and 83 in the same system and previously the 203 and 103d (until I moved the 103d to the bedroom system and 83 to the ht system) I've had one occurrence of the harmony turning on both players but not the Oppo remotes doing the same.  Am not sure what's going on in your system but I suspect it has something to do with the power being switched off when they're not in use.

When I turn my Master switch on (240V)  all Boxes go in Standby. I'm talking about the Big LG, The Yamma 3050, 2 X Yamaha 590's, Oppo's 103d  and the 203, 1 x Yamaha 570 that has an outlet on the rear that feeds a Relay that switch on NO IR Models like the Yamaha 550 and the Shaker Amp Dayton SA 230.. On the Other Main Switch I have Again the big TV + 8 X 24 inch GVA Monitors and 10 Satellite decoders all switches on Stanby when the Mains is tuned ON.

Now the Harmony Remote Controls the Activities I want and the rest is history so the 203 Oppo is the only one that is not playing the ball correctly.

Yes Its a extremely complicated system but It works PERFECT except for the Oppo 203

i am not sure i can say i totally understand what is going on with your system. but as i mentioned there is some quirk wiht the oppo ... after an update the harmony wont work with it. has to be booted with its own remote... and then after a cycle it will then go in and out of stand by with the harmony. not something i am absolutely sure off to pin down but i have notices something odd .. following the last two updates. and because its only at update time. its not something been able to check for repeatability to confirm.

Can any other member on this forum that has the Oppo 103D or even a 103 and also the Oppo UDP 203 try this and report your findings.

So mate join the club with me its the 105 & 203 combo that do this, Kazz's idea that its something to do with them being powered off may be on the money but why, not sure, but now the 203 is behaving like it should have I'm going to move the 105 on soon so another way to cure the issue! My toys all get turned off/on via a master slave device driven by the Marantz pre.

Blackman which Oppo did you change the codes on? In my case it is the103/83 that I changed the codes on. I don’t know if that makes a difference but if you’ve changed the 203 maybe put it back to code 1 and change the 103 and see if that makes a difference. I could be grasping at straws but it may be worth a try.

Extra Details below and from the Loewe website: https://ww2.loewe.tv/au/bild/loewe-reference

Loewe is acknowledged as a specialist manufacturer and this is their top television model, the Reference, in a 55” size model. It is hand made in Germany with features that are not found on standard sets.

      Effortless Perfection.
The new Loewe Reference sets exceptionally high standards. An achievement made possible by a perfectly synchronised performance: A crystal-clear Ultra-HD picture combines with outstanding quality sound from Loewe's unique integrated soundbar. A timeless modernist design meets ultimate convenience, thanks to the integrated hard disk recorder and Bluetooth audio streaming.

Ultra High Definition ... for the best picture.
The UHD display is combined with Loewe's unique glass high contrast filter panel, delivering even richer colours and deeper blacks - for a truly special picture. For TV broadcast signals that do not yet meet the UHD standard Loewe's up-scaling algorithm converts from the currently available Full HD 1,920 x 1,080 pixels in a seamless process ensuring visibly enhanced details and the clarity of Ultra HD 3,840 x 2,160 pixels.

Loewe 3D Active Shutter ... for even more depth.
From outer space to jungles or oceans … Sometimes, you want to truly immerse yourself in the action unfolding on your screen. Loewe's 3D Active Shutter technology brings images alive with vibrant detail - and not just for 3D content. Algorithms work invisibly behind the scenes - calculating which picture content should appear at the front and back - to transform even 2D content into an impressive three-dimensional home cinema experience.

High-resolution art ... with the LUMAS app.
The new LUMAS Gallery app takes art into the digital dimension - and opens up new horizons. It allows you to enjoy selected works of art by internationally renowned artists - such as the Cuba series by the Stuttgart-based photographer Werner Pawlok - in high-resolution Ultra HD quality on your television screen. The LUMAS TV app is available on the new Loewe Reference TV home screen, so you can start selecting pictures straight away - using the Loewe remote control. Browse photographs, graphics, illustrations, digital art or paintings. When you find a picture that appeals, you can display it as a fixed image (for a maximum of 24 hours) or enjoy as part of a slide show.

      Quality Sound
The Loewe Reference has a sound quality to rival even high-end hi-fi and home cinema systems: tangible bass, vivid middle, precise highs and an exceptionally wide dynamic range – the traditional hallmarks of Loewe Sound. The Loewe Reference sets particularly high standards. An integrated soundbar with eight speakers generates crystal-clear sound with a rich 120 watts of music output. In combination with the specially designed bass reflex box and integrated 5.1 audio decoder with Dolby Digital and DTS, the result is an impressive home cinema … and a perfect home concert hall. The Loewe Reference's cinema surround mode conveys amazingly authentic surround sound. At the touch of a button, it also allows you to switch between film and music mode. Special algorithms calculate the optimal overall sound setup for each situation: as powerful as possible while retaining sensitivity – ideal for cinema buffs and music fans.

Loewe Mobile Recording ... any time, any place.
You're stuck in traffic or can't get away from a meeting...you won't make it home in time for your favorite programme. You're out with friends...and you suddenly realise your weekly drama is about to start. The Loewe Reference takes the stress out of situations such as these. Loewe Mobile recording allows you to easily record programmes on the integrated Loewe DR+ 1 TB hard disk, even if you don't happen to be at home. Leaving you free to enjoy your favorite programmes at a more convenient time! All you need is a smartphone and an Internet connection. Simply open the new free Loewe Smart Assist app, select the program from the programme guide and press 'record'... Your Loewe TV will then take care of the rest. When you get back home, you can even watch your recorded programmes on your patio, or tucked up in bed using a tablet computer.
