Vertical Lines, Is It Repairable?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

My 65" LG TV is approaching 4 years old and I noticed that it has developed 2 close vertical blank lines on the screen.

Is this repairable?

usually not sorry to say... seeing just out of warranty likely I would pursue on statutory warranty as well worth doing. so whether fixable or not...i would take in for service. and if they say cant be fixed...just challenge them on statutory warranty if they cop out ...go the consumer rights route... i would be very surprised if your tv is either fixed or you dont get a brand new one to replace

Agree, a 4 y.o. TV should be repaired/replaced under Australian Consumer Law. Don't attempt any repairs yourself - that would void your claim.

Thanks for your replies.

From memory I think the LGs came with 3 years. (I can't find anything to confirm this)

And I took Goodguys extended warranty additional 2 years.

Hoping this isn't a drawn out process.

If a replacement becomes an option, what are the current recommendations?

I'd be asking for something of equivalent value ... Don't fall for the trick where they go equivalent size but end up worse off ie s cheaper set !
