gone_bush Posted August 18, 2014 Share Posted August 18, 2014 First time here for over a year - and I'm back for a reason. I bought a Marantz SR8002 reciever via a Group Buy about 7 years ago. It died about 2 weeks ago and the prognosis is not good. The reason I'm here is to explore my options should repair be uneconomical. See sig for current system components. As I have a power amp, any replacement does not need to have a power amp stage. I've read about the Marantz AV7701 but my budget won't stretch to that (maybe, but unlikely). So the requirements / constraints: * under $2,000; * at least the functionality of the 8002; * sonically compatible with the rest of my system. Over to the intelligentsia.
