Foxtel Title Search

Recommended Posts

You can do a title search for any show on foxtel. It will tell you all the dates and times it will be showing. Press the active button to do this.

By 'search' you must mean a list of titles in alphabetical order.

The search function on the IQHD boxes is of a very poor quality.

It was add in the last firmware update and you can search by name of show, sport event or teams up to 15 days.

Yes,

TV Guide

Press Red 'Search' button

Choose:

1. Programmes by Time

2. Programmes A-Z

3. Programmes by Closed Caption

4, Programmes by HD

5. Channel View

So please explain the 'search' function from the above steps, where this is not just the 'A-Z' listing.

no there is a new one they put on about 2-3 weeks back.

1: press Active

2: scroll down to 8 Title Search

3: you just type in what program you want to find. Can only use arrow keys not number shortcuts for selecting the letters.

Bring up the A-Z and if you're looking for "Kick Boxing", press the 5 button twice and it will liist all programs beginning with K, jsut scroll through until you get to Kick Boxing. It's a Claytons Search but it's still useful.

Ok that is cool.. I rescind my earlier cynicism!

(I still think there could also be a link in the tv guide-search area though)

It's not that easy to use though, hopefully it will get less "clunky".

You're right.. for example, it doesn't find 'next' when there are clearly Start Trek TNG episodes coming up.

I do wish they'd include Series and Ep. number for such shows as Fifth Gear. They do it in the on-line guide. With 19 Series already, it would take the guesswork out if it.

No idea, but they should!

Even a mention in the TV guide, or their Help Channel even.

Well, it isn't perfect. It can't find the Graham Norton Shows first airing on TEN next Saturday night at 8.30. Neither can the on-line guide.
