High End Audio System - System update!

Recommended Posts

Thats cool and oh so simple. Did you have to import it yourself? Canada is notorious for outrageous shipping costs.

Thanks....yes, very cool!

I imported it myself.

He shipped it air mail and the cost wasn't too bad! Cheaper than my global cost with UPS.

If you are looking for any more custom furniture, check out mabarack furniture on Port Rd. They made us a jarrah table, and it's great quality and they are nice to deal with

Thanks Brad, was going to buy a dining table from them but we found one we liked better at a store. They make quality stuff!

Hows your system coming along?

Playing around with the pse-144 horns now. They seems better in terms of the listening fatigue I was complaining about, but still not perfect (or as good as vandersteens!)

Planning on veneering the bass modules this weekend.

Upgraded to a new multichannel dac using sabre32 chips. Testing it using headphones at the moment, seems like an improvement. But I am having trouble matching gains for a fair comparison.

Good idea but I prefer "one on one" listening sessions so guests can have plenty of time to listen properly...... :)

Agree, especially in my place, no room for more.

After a (long) year, my system is finally set up in it's new home!

Sounds even better (!) than previous digs due to room size/layout and carpet/concrete floor.

Quite an improvement! :)

I have much music to listen to!

If any SA SNA'ers want to pop over for a listen please pop me a PM.

Below are updated system specs (only a couple of very minor changes) and new photos.

I was at this person's place today and I'm really Nicked off.... He didn't show me his " best coffee table in the world"!!!!! Oh well, it's an excuse to go again...

Part from that... What a great system, oh and host... I'd be pretty close to saying that's one "best audio system in the world" the changes made by moving into a different room has been one of the biggest upgrades Mark has done for a long time... The room is really dead sounding in a good way...
