Ces 2011 - Star Wars Blu-ray Announcement

Recommended Posts

Mixed. There is talk of frozen grain in TESB and I too saw this in the HD extras on my CW BDs which have some parts of the films in HD which I think would be the same as what the actual BDs will have. There is the scene where Solo shoots the Probebot and that looks quite grainy and not in a nice way. The bounty hunter sequence I posted screen caps from is quite nice to watch though.
Not a lot of comments that I've seen locally, there's a few overseas which are mainly positive apart from fanboi(ish) type complaints.

Thanks x2. Looking like a steal for $39..

don't know how Kmart could stuff the transfers but keep me informed please mate................ ;)

lol. Update you as soon as I hear something, but I reckon it was the new kid in Audio/Visual - looked like a Trekkie.

;)

Called up a few Kmarts in Melb today btw. All said they can't sell it until Thursday.

Didn't ask if they stuffed up the transfer. Might email them now.

:P

Got an email this afternoon that my JB Hifi pre-order was dispatched today. Despite all the negatives about the release I'm just looking forward to watching these movies again as it'll be the first time I've owned them.

Should look great on the Oppo + Pioneer plasma combo

I got the same e-mail, I didn't expect to get it until tomorrow. Also looking forward to their arrival. I've owned the originals on VHS, Laserdisc and DVD and the prequels on DVD. Hopefully they'll arrive before Friday.

Wonder which one I'll watch first? Episode I or IV? Hmm....

I've never watched episodes II and III and probably won't. I'll watch episode IV and then probably none of the others for a month or so. Why did I buy these thing again?

Yeah, that'd be it. Thanks Mark.

I am actually looking forward to the deleted scenes too. There is one scene I found still images of that I bet is not included as no one has posted a link for it yet - Luke is looking back at C-3PO who looks to be covered in a green mud (as is the front of the land speeder). This would have to be before they go to Mos Isley.
