Hello Eleven

Recommended Posts

No, it's no longer available in SD, so the only way is with an HD box, they're available for as little as $44. (Saw an ad last night)

Geezus. Plus I'm driving around South Australia and seeing all the posters telling people the analogue TV signals switched off a couple of weeks ago.

Let's hope that when 2013 rolls around, they can switch their "main" channels into HD without fear of losing viewers.

CK.

Only if all a lot those viewers with SD only equipment decide to ditch it by 2013, otherwise expect the 'main' channel to remain the primary SD service.

You may well see changes come into being next week. No doubt all the behind the scenes work has been done and all that is required is reconfiguration to distribute the program streams to muxers for each transmission region. If SC really wanted to it could take it right down to the wire and make configuration changes only minutes before the service goes 'live', but I imagine the changes will be present for a week or so before Eleven goes live in order to give people time to notice the ads telling them to rescan their receiver if they can't see the promo loop on Eleven.

Mine too. Channel 55 for SC areas (which no doubt will confuse some!) I was talking to someone the other day who said they were "loving the stuff on SBS 3!"

...and Dexter, eventually.

So many ex ch. 9 programs in that list.

Just like the other secondary channels - so many old sitcoms that weren't even that good back in the day. :(

I thought Eleven was supposed to be "Distinctively Youthfull".

I'm only 20 and shows like Happy Days, Jag and Macgyver aren't from our generation, older people may disagree but we didn't grow up with any of it.
