Premier League On Fox Sports

There was nothing wrong with Setanta coverage they had Paul Dempsey and Brain Little presenting with Des Curran and David Speedy commentating

Glad you enjoyed the coverage dj - Paul Dempsey is brilliant

I no longer have Setanta so I watched the ITV presentation pre match, halftime and post match, and the world feed of the actual match with commentary from Martin Tyler on the net

I believe they've been doing that all season so far. I think this is the first season in which they've done that. It's very much welcomed.

Ah right, guess I hadnt really noticed it until now, just assumed it was like it has always been. Glad that they are now doing it, hopefully it stays

I remember one year Man Utd had to play 4 Prem games in the last week, Sat, Mon, Thurs, Sun to catch up, more due to having to play so many matches in all competitions rather than the weather, but looks like there will be quite a few postponements in Dec and Jan.

Very interesting Les Murray interview with Peter Hargitay on TWG.

4 EPL games postponed overnight bringing the total to 5 EPL games now that will have to be rescheduled

Make that 7 games now. Man Utd v Chelsea & Blackpool v Spurs also Postponed

Could well be 8 if the Man City v Everton game is PP as well, could well be seeing as though the Liverpool game was and they are in close proximity to each other

yes all 3 games off today

Chel v Man Utd

Blackpool v Tot

WBA v Wolves

makes 8 to be rescheduled, and 9 if city v everton is also postponed monday night

edit - Blackpool and Man Utd will have 2 matches to catch up on, including playing each other(that match now rescheduled for Tues Jan 25)

so of the 8 postponed this season, 7 still to get a new date

it will be interesting to see what new date they choose to reschedule Chel v Man Utd

Due to internationals, FA Cup replays and an agreement that Premier League games cannot take place in midweek when there are Champions League ties, dates are fast running out. The only clear ones available are:

* Tues/Weds Jan 11-12 (but Carling Cup semi-final, 1st legs take place).

* Tues/Weds Jan 24-25 (Carling Cup semi-final, 2nd legs).

* Tues/Weds April 19-20. Tues/Weds May 17-18.

Also the Carling Cup final Feb 27 will cause a postponement of 2 more Prem matches last weekend of Feb

Also the FA Cup SF on April 16/17 and Final May 14 are played on weekends featuring a full Premier League round causing probably 4 and 2 matches to be rescheduled on each of those weekends respectively...for those matches these catchup dates will be needed: Tues/Weds April 19-20 and Tues/Weds May 17-18.

Forget the Carling Cup SF first legs - they need to schedule this weekends 7 games for Tues Jan 11 and Wed Jan 12, or Tues Jan 25 and Wed Jan 26, especially because there could be more postponements to come, and FA Cup R3 particularly at the smaller grounds will be 50/50 if the weather stays brutal

Sky are only showing one of the Carling Cup SF 1st legs and one of the 2nd legs, but they cant schedule Chel v Man Utd on one of the nights they are not showing Carling Cup...because Blackpool v United already rescheduled for Tues Jan 25 that leaves Tues Jan 11 (but only 2 days after Man Utd v Liv in FA Cup so unlikely).

They should maybe schedule in Chel v Man Utd on FA Cup replay dates, eg Wed Jan 18 etc, and if both teams dont need replays then play the game, but if either need a replay then postpone it to the next FA Cup replay date...also both Man Utd and Chel are not playing CL on Wed Feb 16, so they could play it then...forget the agreement.

Wed Dec 22 is a free date, but obviously too short notice to schedule it to this week just before Christmas.

It will be interesting to see what they do and also how long the weather stays bad for.

9 of the 10 postponed premier league games so far this season have new dates: wed Jan 12: blackp v liv...tues Jan 25: blackp v man utd and wig v avil...wed jan 26: liv v ful...tues feb 15: bir v new...tues feb 22: ars v sto and blackp v tot and wba v wol...tues mar 1: chel v man utd...to be decided: ev v bir

for chel v man utd on tues mar 1 if either has an fa cup fifth round replay during that midweek then the prem match will again have to be postponed

Fox Sports is finally taking Premier League tv build up to The Arsenal vs Man City where they have the host (sorry don't know his name)talking us through the previous results, the table, player lineups and and we getting interviews from the manager :o I wonder if they will be also taking their half time feed or will they go back to the boring pointless EPL Promo loops

Are the commentators Andy Gray and Martin Tyler from Sky

No, they had a single host come on at the start and talked a bit showed states and showed interviews from the coaches before the match before crosses to the commentators. I have heard him talk briefly before but generally at the end of the telecast Fox Sports. You could breifly hear him again before crossing to the commentators before the start of the 2nd half Fox Sports just does not seem to be taking the full feed
