The big question is, will they buzz? until I hear reports from a few sources that this issue has been 100% resolved and resigned to the previous series I would be hesitant to purchase one. Fingers crossed because that PS58C7000 sounds very tempting.

Will Samsung be releasing anything higher than a 58"

I have my heart set on a 63" or even 65" but with the price of the 58" so cheap I might have to compromise and spend the $$ saved on something else :)

PS50C7000 $2499

PS58C7000 $3499

PS63C7000 $4499

No ETA atm

I can tell you that I've already quoted that 58 at below 3k with delivery and 5yrs as a special pre-order price (ie "give me your money now, i have no idea when it's going to come, but i will guarantee you one of the first ones in the country" sort of thing)

Did something similar with the ua55c7000 too (obviously higher price though)

and nice of them to put this up

and they're you go - it is officially no recommended to watch 3D when you're sleep deprived or under the influence of alcohol....

Latest Good guys catalogue had the 55" 7000 for $4799 and the 46" for $3699. Both screens featured a picture of the starter pack which appears to include a couple of glasses and a copy of Monsters v Aliens 3D.

Thanks, I'll be so getting the 63". I some ways I even happier as I missed out on the 65" V10's

To think my 1st 42" Plasma in 2002 cost me a whopping $11k!

Neat. I'll probably be getting the 58" too. How much below 3k were you quoted, if you don't mind me asking?

If the RRP of the 63" is $4500 that's could well be a $4k or lower actual price - now that's a very competitively priced large screen option. I wonder if Panasonic will respond when they bring out their 2010 65".

It's interesting how Samsung have made their plasmas keenly priced but are pricing the LED/LCDs differently. Maybe they feel they don't have as much competition in the LED/LCD market.

Availability:

TV models* to start rolling around May (that's just general, some models to make an appearance late April - no dates for specific sizes). Launch has already been delayed - was meant to be for April, but has largely slipped into May (delivery delays are very common with Samsung). UA40C5000 first one off the blocks and available now (40" edge LED full HD 50Hz).

*from what I can figure, plasma C7000, LCDs up to C650 and LEDs up to C7000. (haven't been paying too much attention to non-C7000 plasmas, so not too sure what's happening with C6500 plasma).

LED C8000, C9000 looking at June-July. LCD C750 not confirmed for Australia, surprise. No idea regarding plasma C8000.

Why risk it...buy a Panna and be sure!...When it comes to Plasma Panna is King now that Pioneer is no longer in the market!

If you guys think you will get special pricing for new models, which will be in high demand, you are dreaming  , ;)

Well I got quoted Sub $4k for this model which I thought was pretty good. And thats without even haggling. Be interesting what I will get with money in hand and ready to buy
