Did you buy the plasma un seen? If you saw it in a shop did the reflection look bad, it may of just been the store I was in because it was wall mounted and facing the whole store.

I actually purchased unseen as non of the stores in the Bankstown area had any stock. After reading up and looking at the posts here and else where I decided to buy the 850A

Any reason you didnt go directly to United Elec. for the warranty? (http://www.unitedelectrical.com.au/)

On the United site the 5yr Plasma warranty is $449 - different to the Std TV warranty for 5yr @ $349 which looks like the one you are talking about. Does the one you got definately cover Plasma's?

I would be suprised is PressDigital could sell United's product cheaper than United could....but l could be wrong.

Thanks Lincoln, Your reply got me thinking, and I rang Press digital and they got the pricing wrong, a whole heap of crossed wires etc... but they have corrected their site and I now have the correct warranty, and thanks again for making me look further. The correct price for the Plazma $3000 to $6000 warranty is $449 I belive.Regards Dors

No worries mate. Didnt want to come across as a know it all, just appeared very strange when l did an online quote on United and got a different price. But thanks for bringing this service to my attention, will definately be going with it when l get my screen shortly.

I bought the 50PX80A and sit no further than 2.2m and I am so Glad I did!! the 42" would have been too small IMO.... By the way, bought this Plasma at HN for $1400 plus $139 for extended 5yr warranty... which was another reason why I went the 50" as the 42" was only a couple of Hundred cheaper...

That's a really good price. Can I ask from which HN did you buy the TV and if it's possible can you share your receipt here?

Anybody in Sydney got a deal/offer near this?

ps, just 139 for 4 years warranty? PowerHouse quoted around 350 for 4 yr warranty!

Has anyone got a TH-50PZ800A receipt for less than $2600 without extra warranty. I've tried other receipts from the forum but get the same reply from salesmen 'yeagh, we'll price match it if you go with the extra warranty as well !!!!'

Well I don't want additional warranty, I'll wait until a couple of months left on the manufacturers warranty and then get the extra years from 'United'.....

Hi, am very new to plasmas. Last time plasmas have burnt-in issues if images stay too long on the screen. Does the latest plasmas like the PY800 have this problem also or something has been done?

 

Also from panny website, does it mean if we input 1080p, then picture will be distorted or something? Cause got a PS3 and a Wii which outputs in 1080p and 480i. Sorry new to plasma so pls bear with me. Thanks. Btw what is this thing about running-in the tv? I saw there some settings to be adjusted and run-in the tv, meaning if no run-in, then might not get the best of it?

Actually, already got one guy in HWZ who said he bought the 50PV80 at $2800 and 32LX800 at $980 from a neighborhood shop, but no vouchers. Good deal if true...

I think the prices have just plummeted, I just saw an ad on TV for 42PZ800A for $1599 , and an online shop is selling the 50PZ800A for $2599.
