Anyone checked out the pana 850A 50"?

I got a price from HN $3650 inc 5 year warr intrest free. Does that sound reasonable?

T

Just bought the Panasonic TH-50PZ850A from GG for $3100 including delivery. I printed out the Digital Centre offer of Special Promo Price of $2999 and the salesman nearly fell through the floor but he came up with the above offer. HN wouldnt even look at my print out let alone check his computer to see if they will match. I was told the 850A has just come available today from Panasonic. Hope this helps. Dors

When I bought the Pana 850A He GG's wouldn't budge on the warranty and offered it to me for $495, anyway I went looking on the net and found pressdigital.com.au and contacted them. They are offering a warranty to match the Panasonic warranty for up to 5yrs for $349 for purchase of plasma over $3000 to $3999 or $$249 for purchase of plasma over $2000 to $2999.

So Press Digital are willing to discuss all warranty on electrical goods (ring and check as only interested in Plasma TV.) They will be looking to update their site, they saved me $150. You know what, the more I use the internet, the cost in savings pays for the monthly fee. Hope someone else gives them a go. Regards Dors

Bro, I think you got the wrong model.  I do not think that it can go so low.  I think the sales man must have quote wrongly.

Can you confirm with the sales man?  If comfirm selling at this prices, I want to get one too!

For people who want to buy 46"800A, go to PowerHouse Bankstown (HomeCentra? corner of Canterbury Rd and Chapel Rd). They are selling this TV for $2249

Thanks for that zn7726. I managed to pick up the 46 800a from DSE Bankstown for $2200. Loaded it into the station wagon with no extra warranty or delivery fees to keep the price down. Also talked them into throwing in a $50 HDMI cable in for free.

It's a big sweet deal. I was not confident to get this deal on the other day when i was in DSE.

Hi Dors,

What do think about the 850A? I checked it out in the store on the weekend for the first time and was disappointed in all the reflection you could see. Granted the shop has a lot of lighting. What is it like in home, do you notice the reflections. Do you have a lot of windows in your lounge or is it in a theater room.

Are you happy with the picture quality?

I am intrested in your feed back because I was really keen on this plasma.

Bro, 100% sure i did not get the wrong model, as i mentioned, i bargain for it all the way, it's really $2199 for the 42PY800 with $600 vouchers, but I pass the offer (until till yesterday) as my home will only be ready end of the year :)

It can only get cheaper, and IT shows (COMEX, Sitex, etc) are not necessary the cheapest offers you can get ;)

I have not recieved the 850A as Panasonic have just recieved stock that G Guys can order. They recond they will receive TV by Friday and I will then arrange delivery for the Monday.

I have a lot of windows in my room and I bit the bullet and purchased anyway.

Once I have it installed and working I will report back.

Did not purchase warranty as G Guys dont cover the cost of removal or reinstallation. The warranty I purchased from Press Digital was cheaper and covers the removal.

The warranty I purchased from Press Digital

Any reason you didnt go directly to United Elec. for the warranty? (http://www.unitedelectrical.com.au/)

On the United site the 5yr Plasma warranty is $449 - different to the Std TV warranty for 5yr @ $349 which looks like the one you are talking about. Does the one you got definately cover Plasma's?

I would be suprised is PressDigital could sell United's product cheaper than United could....but l could be wrong.

Can share which Courts quoted you this price, I asked courts yesterday, they say no way got such price ???

Just wondering, since your home not ready yet, why you 'bargain for it all the way'  ???

Dors,

Did you buy the plasma un seen? If you saw it in a shop did the reflection look bad, it may of just been the store I was in because it was wall mounted and facing the whole store.

Lincoln, I spent ages looking for a replacement option to G Guys Horizon (as been unhappy from previous pruchases), I could not find any references when I googled extended warranty, by chance I ended up at Press Digital and rang them, They rang me back and said their offer of $349 was for Plasma TV between $3,000 and $3,999 and offered it to me and said it would be on their web site to-day which it was, so this morning I put my order through,

They could have made a mistake, I dont know, but if you go to their site you will find it there on the front page I believe.

If I had been able to google search United and knew who they were, I would have purchased from them even though the price was the same as GGuys and also because they will come and pick up and return install if necessary.

As I am over 60 I cant see me being able to lug this huge TV around the countryside and I didnt like the idea that I would have to pay for shipping.
