Promotion Time

Recommended Posts

In the next couple of weeks the four majors are progressively starting their sales promotions up to christmas.

Panasonics is different but the rest have been there done that.

I can't see anyone waiting until after christmas to buy a tv now.

Sony's 3-year warranty promotion goes on till Dec 31 2009. Boxing day looks like a safer bet for those who would want one of their TVs.

so what are the promos? im thinking about buying a 50x10a soon, but there is no rush and im happy to wait for a better price. (READ: not for new tech, im not interested in waiting for the next best thing. i want a 50" tv for around $1500, that is the only criteria, money being the main factor.) would love to have something like a xbox360 ot ps3, but both would be a bonus and not really a key factor. (have an original xbox as a media center atm.)

Well now

I am looking to replace my 3 year old 55inch Sony KF55E200 3LCD "olcos" HDTV

($3280 from Sony Central in 2006. RRP $4999)

With a Samsung UA55B8000 Series 8 55inch LED TV which is for sale at WEBPRICE.com.au

for a nice tidy $5720 plus delivery charges. (RRP $7999)

I am looking forward to the improved PQ as I upgrade from 1366x768 to 1920x1080 resolution.

and using considerably less power from a powerfull 100W rear projection globe to full color LED backlighting

Regards

I wonder what Pana will do this time. I'm betting on the "free Wii" to make a comeback.

No problem - thanks for the tip

Can I ask you do you think it would be worth getting rid of a 32" Panasonic HD CRT in preparation for these deals? As in will be such a good deal that you 'have to get it'

I dont know what you would get for a crt tv these days.....but if you are after a full hd plasma there has never been a better time.

If its a 42" your after definately.....if its a 50" up then probably

This is good news. I am planning to get a new 50" panasonic before Xmas, and this will help me to make up my mind.

I won a free 32" 1080p LCD from pana recently when I got my tz7 camera.
