Hi Guys , Buy one get one free on some UHD and Bluray titles on Amazon.com.au https://www.amazon.com.au/b/ref=mh_5637335051_is_pn_2?node=5637335051&qid=1525955642&tag=ozbargain-22&am

As I understand it - Australian edition is not so much "uncut" as "extended". The US have the correct theatrical release version....

The version that was in the theaters (at least here) is the version on the australian disc. Parts were removed for the US dvd (blu-ray) release. Perhaps they were removed from their theatrical cut too. Whatever the case the version on our disc is the version that was in our theaters.

My understanding is the American version had references to Branson and Virgin removed, it's like the product merchant placement experts calling the kettle black

They also removed a few seconds of violence in the stair well fight and torture scene

I saw it in a UK theatre and ended up with the UK BD so I guess I'm none the wiser.

Just got an email from Amazon US regarding 30% BD.

All BDs are always at least 30% off RRP, but since RRP can be $US40 for a single title that's not saying much. Has to be a fair bit more than 30% off RRP (or a major drop in RRP) to qualify as a "bargain" I reckon.

Stated most Blu-Ray's were included in this price. Hope that I can still get some next time I can get some if there are any left

We've all been spoilt by the low prices for the HD-DVD firesale, so even these don't look like bargains. <_<

However, AVP 2-pack is now $49 so that bargain didn't last long (not that AVP was a very good movie: AVP2 is more like a Predator 3 to me and much better).

And why are the EzyDVD titles not available till May 1? Some of those are already on the shelf. I suspect they mean the 3 for 2 doesn't apply till May 1. Even so, that's still $27 each.

Since these titles will be available for rent (for $2-$3 at certain times), there doesn't seem much point in buying.

Dunno if this is old news or not, but Amazon is offering a pre-order deal on National Treasure 1 & 2 (Out May 20). Buy both together and get them for $39.99 - apparently a 43% saving off RRP. I've preordered this because even factoring in shipping, you're still saving roughly $15 than buying it from DVDPacific. Good thing is since they're counting it as a bundle, you only get charged the $2.99 Per DVD charge ONCE :D (Making the total for standard shipping, $7.98)

Does anyone know if the ezy-dvd 3 for 2 sale has a cut off date to place the orders by? I'm tempted to get a couple of movies, but I don't want to put them on order now only to pick them up cheaper elsewhere whilst I'm waiting.

A truck load more titles added to the Ezy DVD sale, including fox ones!

http://www.ezydvd.com.au/promo.zml?pid=767...&himg=pr767

Damn I wish I'd held off buying the Die Hard films...

Thats good they increased the number of titles. It means you can get some quality movies for good prices.

I think 26 bucks is a good price.

although the credit card is up for another thrashing.

Ezy has upgraded their website, you can cancel the whole order or part of the order yourself now, no need to email them anymore so if you place your order to ensure you get the stock and find something cheaper meanwhile, you can cancel.
