WrxStan Posted January 9, 2008 Share Posted January 9, 2008 Just called the Sony Promo Hot line, Seems like they have extended the date claims must be received by 12 of Feb to 10th of March 2008. called to reconfirm the delivery address and lucky I did since I had left out my Unit No. The lady updated and said my claim have been processed so should be getting it soon I hope. I just realised, I havn't bought any games or movies. What will I do if the PS3 comes and I have nothing to play on it! . Time to hop on ebay and get something ready. I'd rather spend $80 on a crap game (although I hope to get fifa 08 tomorrow), than use my DL quota on PS3 demos and get forced onto 56k speeds for the rest of the month . One more questions: What do we do about warranty on these babies? We can't extend it can we and do we get a receipt? Has anyone thought or done this? Will be interesting to see if Sony may provide any compensation or half price PS3's.... A friend of mine bought a 46 inch XBR about 6 days before the promo started. He simply rung up the store he bought it from and expressed extreme disappointment and they told him to go back into the store and they would print out a new receipt with a later date of purchase on it. I did the same thing purchased on teh 17th went back and got a receipt reprinted for the 27th. First BluRay I will get is Into the Blue. Jessica Alba in that swimming scene so awesome. Im thinking of getting one, I have a HD which is a 400g and is in a custom casing, not sure it would fit. Its for Film editing and I could ofcourse use another/larger HD. Anyway, What is everyone's first Film/game they are buying to Christen there brand new PS3? (i like the DieHard4 choice, haven't seen it yet) I would like to get a new release Blu-Ray, an action flick, something that would really do the 46x justice!!! Any Suggestions? I like the Seagate Momentus 200GB 7200 16mb - http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/produc...oducts_id=25951 though at $260 it's not worth it unless the performance will be of use in the PS3, otherwise I'll settle for a 5400. For the Blu-Ray movie, I'm going out to get Casino Royale - which the Aussie version is the complete UNCUT version, unlike most of the others in the world, including the states... pity about Region coding for the rest of the world for once. I agree that harassing Sony with unnecessary phone calls will just slow down the process for everyone. I already have a 400G PVR, if Sony is going to charge an arm and a leg then count me out for the HD upgrade and for buying the attachment. Sweet choice, Same here, But I have been reading lots about it and it has received a lot of criticism over repetitiveness in the gameplay, i'm worried it might be a let down so i might go for COD:4 modern at the same time as a fall back option, lol.
