Stooge007
Hi StoogeAny further news from your contact about the Samy model number etc. It has created a bit of confusion for some posters (including myself)!! Cheers Vinex have left a message, will keep everyone updated when he calls back. i think he has just confused himself, as i'm almost 100% certain that the BDX and 100hz are LCD issues, not plasma related. cheers
KGB
I'll be very surprised if the model PS50P91BDX even exist? Agreed. I believe the salesman is not an expert on TV's and is just confused about the model numbers. Remember - no one is forcing anyone to buy anything, Stooge is just hooking you up with a contact so you are able to confirm every last detail with the contact before purchasing. I don't think there is anything to worry about. would just like to express my interest....long time occasional reader, new poster Read sig below and up your post count, then fire off a PM to Stooge. vinex
Hi Guys Stooge I just spoke to your contact again. Yes you are right, he did initially quote an incorrect model number but it's all cleared now. It is for the Samsung 50" P9 (PS50P91FDX) model plasma (Full HD 1080p) and the quoted price stands. Air cleared... Cheers
fast700c
Hi Guys, it was my reciept Stooge used to get his deal. Let me say that the price myself and Stooge and others attained is very achievable. If you want the screen just walk into any store and tell them what you want, if they cant do it turn around and walk out. Everyone is keen to deal at the moment. I got mine from Myer, JB's are also doing good deals (and they will bargain on there extended warranties) I was offered good prices from GG and Retravision (even over the phone). I appreciate what Stooge is doing but if the guy is getting a little confused or you don't live in his area simply go get your own deal. Then sitt back and enjoy!! By the way I missed out on the free LCD deal by 2 weeks. Don'y you just hate that.

Good advice - Stooge has got a pretty good price but you could get a similar deal with a little hard work. Unlucky about the timing fast700c! jd71
The guys flat out alright, he said hes hardly been able to sell any on the floor due to the demand! And as Stooge said, it is the FDX. Giddyup! For Victorian guys, its 40 bucks ontop for extra delivery. Due to the LARGE number of phone orders, they also want ID and written authorisation for the sale, cheers Justin

predator666
fast700c: Depends on where you live.. Sydney obviously has more demand, which means retailers are more willing to drop the prices. It's not so easy to obtain such good prices at all places in Australia. Nobody would match those prices on the goldcoast I went to, and there is only so much stuffing around you want to do driving to every retailer in town when you can pay $50 for shipping Shipping to goldcoast will be $50 for me.. FYI: For interstate you need copy of drivers license, credit card, and an authority to debit the card Edited December 3, 2007 by predator666
Stooge007
Whats happens it there are any problems. Do we just deal with our local Myer store? in terms of warranty problems? i believe that in the first instance (and during the manufacturer warranty period of 2 years) you should be able to deal directly with your local Myer. you should check with our guy though. in the extended warranty period, you will need to contact the extended warranty people. cheers

However they told me they can't sell me at that price. Probably I should have tried JB Hifi and Good Guys? Seems that they were willing to match according to some posts. However funnily Myer was happy to sell me the pana PZ700 for 3150 with delivery and inclusive of 1 + 2 years extended warranty with $30 myer voucher from the myer one card , paid using Amex. Probably Samsung 2 weeks ago did not offer rebates to the retailers and now they do seeing the panasonic PZ700 are selling so well, samsung is trying to up their sales therefore these few days we are seeing so many people getting great delas on the P9. If I were to be getting the P9 I will prefer to get with a reliable 5 years warranty, The unit runs very hot. Therefore if the units dies in the 4th and 5th year, you can get a new model. Hehehe I guess no luck with the PZ700 die-ing , it runs pretty cool and in U.S panasonic is said to be the most reliable plasma and requires very little repairs. Stooge007
so, after day 1 of the GB, who's actually ordered? i know a mate of mine (not on the forums) is going to go in and purchase one in person on Thursday. i think this has gone semi-smoothly cheers

The delivery costs that Stooge's guy is quoting aren't to bad but considering the fact that I'm in the west and managed the same price I think the deal can be done anywhere. But all power to Stooge for arranging it. I love haggling but not everyone does. One things for sure no one will be dissapointed. Bang for your bucks it is hard to go past. SOLIDsnake
After pulling out of the Panasonic group buy after it closed pissing off A LOT of people - nice one retard.May 1000 sweaty Wii remotes strike your new plasma dead. Well I'm sorry for any inconvenience I caused, but I'm not gonna sit there and take an inferior deal for the sake of someone else when they full knowingly CHOSE to undertake the GB knowing that things like this might happen. I dont see how I put the GB in jeopardy by withdrawing (according to the wiki theres more than 50 sets ordered..). So go ahead call me a 'retard' but I think I'd be more of a 'retard' to settle for something I knew was the inferior deal while perhaps causing a slight problem to someone else who'll forget it in a weeks time anyway. Im surprised at myself for even bothering to respond to your childish and unintelligent response, but I did anway. Stooge007
Stooge , how many people do you know so far that have nailed this purchase?? it's hard to tell, that's why i asked in the thread. they had 10 in stock on Sunday, less the one i bought, makes 9. i'm going to try and see how long it would take to restock if he sold out. so if everyone could PLEASE update the thread once the deal is 100% done and paid for, that would be excellent. cheers
