frozenblaze
Does such an item exist. Im sick of changing my cable from my PS3 to either TV or projector. Is there a splitter I can use from the PS3 to run seperate cables. Would this degrade picture quality? betty boop
a word of warning re splitters. chec kthe warning thread by kamma in the ht sub forum buying a plitter of ebay took out jsut about ll hi gear. also be aware there are hdmi switchers, eg 4 in 1 out. vs splitters 1 in 2 out. personally I'm yet to see a shop sold splitter. I'm too scared to use one after kammas experience. some avrs come with dual hdmi outs.
diesel
Fair warning. However, buying from DSE or Jaycar I would hope they would cover if anything went wrong????

I use one of these, does the job nicely. http://www.futurelooks.com/472-XtremeMac-E...her-Review.html It costs about $180. I did earlier on buy one from Ebay and while it worked at 720p it wouldn't go above that without stuffing up the colours. Even at 720p you could see a sparkling effect. No such problems accur with the ExtremeHD. I've also used it piggy back style with a Onkyo SR705 receiver and again with no problems.
aeon1503559541
Just wondering how you went with this - I just found two products: http://www.cablechick.com.au/cables/high-e...connectors.html (not powered) https://www.lindy.com.au/online/arrshop.exe...&ai=1439492 (powered) I think i'd be fairly confident with the Lindy one looking at those specs, but I wonder how well the top one would perform. Arc1503559859
Hey guys, Zazz currently have a 3 input powered (with remote!) HDMI switcher for $39~ http://www.zazz.com.au/ Like all zazz stuff it'll only be up there for the day, pretty good value, I'd get one if I didn't already have 3 HDMI ports on my TV, no real use for one other than keeping the content to the one HDMI port. Stets
I bought the Lindy unit from DVDownunder for sending the PS3 signal via a VP50 to both a projector and a plasma. So far so good Just wondering how you went with this - I just found two products:http://www.cablechick.com.au/cables/high-e...connectors.html (not powered) https://www.lindy.com.au/online/arrshop.exe...&ai=1439492 (powered) I think i'd be fairly confident with the Lindy one looking at those specs, but I wonder how well the top one would perform. Thudd1503560234
What I'd like is a 1 into 3 or 4 HDMI 1080p capable splitter that doesn't cost a ludicrous amount of coin - Lindy has one that's over $400!!

Hey Thudd!!. What do you need 3 outputs for?
Thudd1503560234
Hey Thudd!!. What do you need 3 outputs for? 3 hdmi inputs on my Kuro. SD player, HD player, PVR, game console - there's 4 devices right there, use component for one and there's my 3 inputs.
aeon1503559541
hmm.. I'm still not following... You want to plug 4 devices into 1 port on your TV? Then you're after a Switch then... A splitter is being able to plug 1 device into multiple TVs for example. (in my case, my PJ and a possible new TV). You can get a 3 into 1 switch for $259 from lindy... although the other option would be to get a new Amp - though the cheaper ones only usually support switching of 2 devices, so that's not ideal either. Thudd1503560234
I have one hdmi output available, and I want to split that amongst 3 inputs on the TV as each input can be calibrated individually. So the sources, which are all combined at the processor end, need to split apart again at the TV end. (and the two ends are approx 6 metres apart at different ends of the room) and yeah our firewall at work toasted mirc which is why I haven't been on there for yonks. aeon1503559541
Ah, wow that's interesting, but makes sense (for the indivdual calibration)! I haven't been on there in yonks either
