The LX series are already released in some specialist stores. We (BBP Bundoora) will have ours on the floor in the next few days. Ummm, excuse me. This thread was started to find out RRP as well as best price. The RRP i stated are TOTALLY relevant. There are many people reading this thread that wanted to know actual retail price after all the speculating on pricing over the last few weeks. How come someone has got a quote already if the prices haven't been released...... It's entirely possible I suppose that the person at Pioneer was ill-informed...... judging by their lack of involvement in-store I would not be suprised..... As Nightbreed has said, finally confirmed RRP LX508 - $7,999 & LX608 - $11,999. It seems that Pioneer wanted to keep the LX508 without an 8 at the front, and may reflect in getting less bargaining on price over the LX608. It won't drop substantially, but if JB HiFi \ DJ's \ Myer \ Good Guys \ Bing Lee \ etc are stocking them - you can be guaranteed there will be some kind of discount by Xmas. I tried to keep the group together over the last week, but delays with prices led to impatience, and most members lost confidence in my ability to do anything about it. Which is fine, and I respect. Good if you intended upgrading your DVD recorder or buying a blu-ray player at the same time. Equates to a $4674 price alone.
