Professor Tournesol
It's a bad of a sad story in a way, Neil and his partner were great guys and very ethical but not very good buisness men imo.The buisness went through several guises and some of their later digital and amplification products were very highly regarded but I got the impression that the buisness always just seemed to limp along. Now whether the guys just got fed up or they were forced into liquidation I don't know.I sold quite a bit of the PT product and the LPT was in it's time a huge bargain , my own LPT was sold off when I was coming to Australia and was the last truntable I owned , which was what you were actually asking ,I guess.Sorry misread your question. Gordon PT are back in business as The Funk Firm. Once again based in London, once again vinyl analog focused. http://www.thefunkfirm.co.uk They also do mods for old Pink Triangles as well as Linn Sondeks! I've sent my PT Export back to them for 'the works', it's like grandpa's axe now - into it's third upgrade by these guys. When it returns it will be joining a JuicyMusic BlueBerry Xtreme pre-amp and some Avantgarde Solo active speakers. I also have a YBA Passion 400 CD player and also use an iPod playing Apple Lossless. What Me?
My system has been added to and evolved for a fluid sound over the years, as I really don't like bright systems. CD Player: Esoteric DV60Streamer: Yamaha WXC50Pre: Balanced Audio Technogies VK20 Power PakPower Amp: Halcro MC30Turntable: Rega RP3 modified with GrooveworksCartridge: 2M BronzePhonostage DynavectorSpeakers: Egglestonworks The NinePower Conditioner: Shunyata Hydra 6Cabling: Shunyata and Liquid Ceramics cables It's years in the making and we love it. The Halcro for its dynamic speed, punch and power. The BAT feeds raw power to the Halcro. The Hydra is just so dark and quiet. And the Egglestons are so real and powerful. Awesome addition of late. These are also so sexy
