AndrewWilliams
Thanks for pointing me towards this thread. It seems I'm not the only one whose patience has finally run out. Yet another summer of watching cricket/tennis etc in poststamped analogue 4:3 on a 16:9 screen awaits me it seems. Enough is enough. The commercial stations just keep pushing back the release dates and it's getting beyond a joke. It seems that they're just going to keep putting it off until they're absolutely forced to do it. In that case, it might be time to send a few nasty letters and phone calls to spur them into action. If people in this forum don't do it then who will? The most surprising thing is those select few members in this forum that are defending the commercial networks. Makes we wonder who they work for. ibanez5
The most surprising thing is those select few members in this forum that are defending the commercial networks. Makes we wonder who they work for. brisdigitaldan is one of them. The delay is not by the broadcaster. You just can't instantly make and install digital transmitters to suit yourself. We have a small population with many transmitters. Posisbly the biggest rollout in the world. Rome wasn't built in a day. The broadcasters actually want it fully intalled now as it's in their own best interests. Be thank you you - ?? have television full stop. It's not the end of the world, it's only TV afterall! - Doesn't explain why the stations repeatedly miss promised start dates for digital. Yes, but most people who can receive full digital have a perfectly good analogue service, so it's not an issue. You are in a minority. If it was big news, it would be front page newspaper headlines, wouldn't it? - What a load of crap. Look at the Moombil thread. People with sh*thouse NBN analogue have perfect signal of NBN digital. Makes me wonder who he works for. He shoots his mouth off at the people of areas of the geographical forums that dont have any commercial stations digital where he is fully digital and has been since 2001 yet its 2006 and I still dont have a commercial station digital. RayDio
It Is An Absolute crime how Commercial Television and a spineless government authority has left regional TV Viewers in the dark. It is now 6 Years since DTV commenced in Australia and there is still a massive gap in the transmission coverage of DTV and I Love how on the DBA website they try and tell us having some of the transmitters is good enough. NO IT'S NOT When we got aggragation the TV stations got all the country area's on-air in no time at all and it once again poses the question Why has a full roll out of DTV Taken sooooo Long ??????? And Now the Government want us to switch over to DTV as soon as possible Here's a thorght. INSTALL & SWITCH ON THE TRANSMITTERS FIRST
