Big AL
I have an NEC 50" plasma which has an option of setting up split screens, but I am unable to get it working. I have 3 main inputs DVI, S and Component which according to the manual I should be able to display at the same time. Does anyone have this function working and if so how did you set it up? That was my conclusion after a quick look, but I could be wrong.

tech_head123
So has anyone successfully got the split screen working?Big AL My mistake - it does work with different sources; I had a fiddle last night. I have Austar on video 1, and a Strong HD STB on DVD/HD1. I pressed "side-by-side" and they both came up, and by pressing "active select" was able to switch between the two.Austar is connected to the panel via s-video, and the Strong via component. Mines a 42XR4, BTW.

Then found I had to set Avanced OSM to on. I can't get "side by side" with my NEC HD STB via DVI which is RGB3 select and Austar which is on Video 3 as I am using S video to work. However, I now get 2 pictures side by side BUT only Austar in one (Video3) and DVD (DVD/HD1) in the other, there must some other setting I'm missing. Big AL According to the manual, split screen should work with RGB3 (which is DVI input) and Video 3 (which is "S" video) however it dosen't work. Anyone have it working?
