Guest funwithstuff Posted January 4, 2007 Share Posted January 4, 2007 Can anyone else confirm that Channel 7 have dumped the watermark from their HD channel 70? I'm in Brisbane and can't remember seeing the logo in at least the last couple of days -- it's not there during The Amazing Race or the horrible Hollywood secrets nonsense now following. Logo is still present on the SD channel. Previously, every now and again, the logo would come *on* during the ad breaks and off during the programs, but not this time... it's just gone, apparently for all programs. Maybe they'll introduce it only for real, not upconverted HD (ignoring that 576P is not HD) programs like ABC do on their HD channel. If this is not just a temporary accident, we need to ring them and tell them how much we appreciate it, how many more programs we'll be watching on 7, and how many more products we'll be buying from their sponsors as a result. scotty79 Posted January 4, 2007 Share Posted January 4, 2007 its still there on most show's, although i did take 2 steps to having them remove it - i emailed Yahoo-7 stating that i think their "HD Digital" logo is false advertising and that the Broadcasting Assoc. should be told about it, they told be to ring channel 7 direct (provided number) then i complained to 3 different departments stating that 576i/p is not HD at all, and that 1080i/p is true HD and 720p is accepted as a HD telecast. EDIT: I changed my profile to Sydney, and sure enough 'Sleepless in Seattle' is there. Wonder why SC10 viewers are shafted?
