As per the DVI vs. Component thread, this is one case where a well implemented Component is equal to a DVI/HDMI output. And when was the last time a $500 piece of home electronics had a stainless steel case. This thing is feels like a specialist piece of electronics device built by a quality engineering shop, not some mass-produced Korean/Chinese shyte. I know still expensive but I mentioned that elsewhere it can be had for $500 mark, still waiting for the callback, his boys are looking into it. I'll keep you posted. Foggy Posted June 15, 2005 Share Posted June 15, 2005 (edited) Sorry I haven't been around tonight folks, but I've started enjoying watching the footy again thanks to the AUSID... and tonight's state of origin game was a pearler (if you're from NSW). I believe that laurie is correct the Composite input is for another tuner e.g. VCR, STB etc. and is used as the AUX input for the PIP function. I'm not sure whether it upscales or not as I haven't tried it yet. EDIT: Just confirmed by reading the manual on page 13 that the composite input is indeed for VCR/DVD input, as are the 2 RCA Audio inputs. However, it still doesn't say whether it upscales.
