There is a possiblity that a VPG may come on the SC10 network later (of course this was just an email from an anonymous person at SCB (using the email form on their site to contact them about it)).

They may just be copying Ten (or Ten told them not to go higher due to people like you Winston that pick up SC10 from non-licensed areas).

Heheheh :P So I'd be the scapegoat for PRiME being 576p (if they choose to go down that path) too? I stay on the Sydney channels most of the time anyways though. How about the Canadians? They can get American OTA/FTA stations and they're also relayed on cable.

Sure : Click Here

I have never done one of these exports so I did the ALL option.

Thanks.

Looks like SCTen HD is 200kbits better off than Ten HD but there is a hell of a lot of null packets. Either they are planning to put up a VPG or they don't know how or are unwilling to optimise the mux.

They are also the only 1080i broadcaster using h x 1080 instead of h x 1088.

Yeap I'm picking up SC HD Channel here is Wagga Wagga NSW. Just a Colour Bar Test but it's a start. Prime HD is still SD. However we still don't have the WIN HD Channel.

Why is anyone worrying about bit rates being higher on the regionals than the Metro channels? The video quality is only going to be as good as its original source bit rate provided on the HD feeds from Metros. Also there's no point in hoping Prime are going to magically broadcast in 1080i when all of 7's 'HD' content is garbage 576p...If they did upconvert it would be like using a scaler on your DVD but not even as good..

Guest Tim H

Hello DTV addicts in Canberra

SCTEN HD. The teac is picking up station 50 but alas no pic or sound as at 7:15pm Friday 1 April. Is this a B/C issue - ie no signal or is it a STB problem?

WIN HD test loop and PRIME test screen are both very good.

Thanx Tim
