Well! I'm not sure d459, it is a 45rpm and I only had one Chain 45 - Black and Blue.

Some tasty new and old spinners. ;) Love them all.

We need some more Micro Seiki here.

Unfortunately I can't lay claim to owning either, but I am open to donations!

here is my Funked PT. I've tried to Photoshop it to increase the contrast but still, with every part on it being black, it just looks black!

the turntable sits on 3 Herbies IsoCups and on a Sound Mechanics Isolation platform. This is also grounded to give some RF shielding too. Sound and vibration isolation on a suspended wooden floor is very good.

ZYX Airy3 cart on a Kuzma Stogi Reference tonearm

carbon fibre top plate and below that a carbon fibre/balsa sandwich sub-chassis hanging on 3 springs.

the original acrylic platter now features an IsoMat. This lowers the noise floor so reveals more detail but means that the original clamp no longer works as it can't get enough spindle to screw in. I remembered that I had an old G.B. record clamp that works well.

Now here's a few of mine. I'm a little bit obsessed as you can see, always has been no matter what hobbies over the years. ;)

This Roksan Radius 5 had served me fine for 5 years until i went crazy last year.

RoksanRadius5.jpg

TW Acustic Raven 1 + Phantom B44 Mk2 + Miyajima Shilabe. Probably my last belt drive TT and i told my wife this will have to do me till i'm 50s to justify it.

Raven1TTweightring.jpg

Then i decided to explore the world of vintage idler drive turntables which has consumed me ever since.

First one off, a oil bearing Garrard 301 Oil with Kokomo bearing upgrade in my DIY plinth. Jelco 10.5S and Audio Techica AT33PTG.

Still waiting for a 12 inch Thomas Schick arm to arrive to complement the Denon 103R and Ortofon SPU.

Great bass, PRAT and big sound.

Garrard3012armsupdated.jpg

Newly arrived Thorens TD 124 Mk2 with Roksan Nima and Ortofon Kontrapunkt B

More HF energy compared to the Garrard on first listen but need more time with it to get to know it.

Thorens124Nimaedit.jpg

Commonweath Electronic 12 D Transcriptor turntable - undecided on the plinth yet and some noise issue to sort out.

Commonwealthplinth2.jpg

Technics SP10 Mk2 Direct Drive- which will go on a slate plint with a Micro Seiki MA-505 MK3 tonearm later.

TechnicsSP10mk2Copperplate.jpg

A cheap Goldring Lenco 75 idler which will be turned from this

LencoGL75080309.jpg

into this with a custom stainless PTP top plate on slate plinth and air bearing arm. Not mine but a friend's who's helping me. Hopefully it will be done in 5- 6 weeks time.

P1050934.jpg

And when it's all done, i might have a GTG where people can listen to the various spinners.

I've heard from some that having more than 1 tonearm is a bit of a w..k but i'm having too much fun at the moment..

Very nice LD!

I am sure that the Copperhead is several orders of magnitude better than your previous tonearm. How/where did you mount the cable block?

Is your Copperhead equipped with the standard Stereovox-sourced wire?

Is that a round pyrathane (poylurethane) belt that I spy in place of the stock Acoustic Signature belt? If so how did it change/improve the sound?

Great stuff.

Cheers,

Aaron
