Teac Itv-d500

Recommended Posts

kuribu,

No problems mate

I had the same problem when Teac took down the site for a while and all my questions went un answered and when i did get an answer they told me that they are no longer supporting the itv - d500 and the site would not go back up.

Funny enough a few days later the site re appeared but i could not get the update so to cut it short i ended up ringing them and demanded help or they refund me for the box lol. They soon gave me an answer and told me to put that web address into the browser of the itv :D

As for the press menu and green to get the logos and the extra game, i had the same problem. What i did was turned the itv off at the back switch of them box for 30 secs then turned it back on and pressed menu then green again and it worked.

Anyway hope that solves your problem.

Cheers

Hi there,

Would like to know if anyone have got a Linksys USB Network Adapter Wireless 802.11 WUSB11 V2.6 working with the Teac ITV-D500? When plug in to the box, it is shown as unknown device and its class ID. Thanks.

Look at this list of products known to work with OS version 4.5.1. The list probably is exhaustive, so anything that is not exactly there might not work.

It seems that version 2.8 of that device will work.

You are most likely to find something on that list at a computer fair. It was tricky for me to buy a Belkin F5D6050 v2000 2 years ago.

I have tried going to the different address "http://player.teac.com.au/products/itv/upgrade/" but it still says cannot explore. I dont know....

Hi,

I have been reading this thread after trying to setup my ITV-D500 today.

I had it setup a while back and never bothered until today.

Anyway's I began my search for files on the Internet Archive website.

http://www.archive.org/index.php

It's better than nothing, but I am still looking for the files needed.

This might help those interested.

iPlayer = http://web.archive.org/web/20040406101945/...er.teac.com.au/

All pages related to player.teac.com.au = http://web.archive.org/web/*sr_1nr_30/http...r.teac.com.au/*

The old Filezilla file should be there somewhere too.

Here is the Filezilla File for the Teac iPlayer

http://web.archive.org/web/20050615052716/...illa/fz089n.exe

Upgrade for iPlayer = choose carefully at your own risk (I have not tried any of the links using my ITV-D500 yet, still gathering links)

ALL LINKS TO UPGRADES

http://web.archive.org/web/*hh_/player.teac.com.au/upgrade/

These URL's when accessed via PC each return a note saying "This page is available to TEAC settop boxes only"

Which could be a good indication of the upgrade working - if anyone still has one of these ITV-D500's and has success please post your findings.

Webarchive dates and links to upgrades (unconfirmed, they might all be the same file or upgrade or may not work at all)

Copy the link into your ITV-D500 player.

24 October 2004 http://web.archive.org/web/20050111202817/...com.au/upgrade/

29 March 2005 http://web.archive.org/web/20050329173340/...com.au/upgrade/

15 April 2005 http://web.archive.org/web/20050415082728/...com.au/upgrade/

15 June 2005 http://web.archive.org/web/20050615052640/...com.au/upgrade/

14 September 2005 http://web.archive.org/web/20050914125858/...com.au/upgrade/ -- this one showed the same note - "This page is available to TEAC settop boxes only" after entering via my set top box. I might try the earliest one first..

There are other dares on the archived page but the above ones returned the notice to use the iPlayer.

Good Luck.

Cheers

the filezilla 0.8.9n has been uploaded to yahoo groups "i-player"

http://tv.groups.yahoo.com/group/i-player/files/

and old teac iplayer page which works is here.

http://web.archive.org/web/20060821064646/.../itv/index.html

some info re Multimedia

MPEG1 MPEG2 WAV MP3 OGG AIFF JPG GIF PNG TS

Multimedia playback of Video and Sound files is possible. Simply put the files on a USB memory stick. Advanced users may wish to set-up a HTTP or FTP server on your home PC for file sharing.

I had a file converter but lost it and cant find a link for a free one.

the 2nd link fails, and the first one doesn't appear to have anything to do with the ITV-D500.

EDIT: for the first one you appear to have to join a group.

the second link works here. if you are interested in the link at all just go the internet archive website and then add the url into their search. http://player.teac.com.au

it doesnt work for the upgrade but it has the old info and there are links to the upgrade but I am not certain if the file is on that site. But the link I provided should work.

The other link is for the filezilla software which has all the settings for the iplayer in its configuration.

Guys, I have a wireless keyboard for this unit. It was the latest version with the red, green , yellow, and blue keys in the centre of the top row of the keyboard.

If anyone wants it, make me an offer by PM.

cheers,
