A lot better than the JBL. They go very deep.

I’m not sure you could push them as hard as the JBL though. I think the mid and top would give out first.

They are very very easy to listen to though. I’ve played everything From Dean Martin to Tools new album and been impressed.

I’m going to try some different types of amps and see what happens.

In case I missed it, which amps are you using?

May have something to do with amp giving out?

The ME850 isn’t giving out by a long shot. It’s plenty powerful. I’m just wary of pushing the Osborn’s too hard.

We don’t all have 40mm long throw subs and 8000w lol

Mk4 Epitome so the drivers have improved since. The Focal TC120k is a very good world renowned tweeter.

Congrats on the new speakers @jakeyb77 !!

They all look very cozy together !! :D

BTW the turntables seem to be missing.... ??

Thanks mate. There was a bit of apprehension from the Mrs but she’s fine with it.

Yes I moved the VPI to test the Sony I lent to @joz. Just haven’t been bothered to place it back.

That's interesting. I realised my system doesn't even start to really work until around 90dB last Sunday arvo :D (JBL 4367)

Osborns are beautiful speakers and excellent value for the moola.

Wall of speakers....love it!

Ive often thought that if I ever owned a pair (quad) of these id try flipping the bass bins upside down and placing on top of the speaker creating a tower of power ?

That's exactly what Osborn has done with his towers.

I’d actually love to try an MF M6 or M5 if anyone has one they want to lend or bring over.

If you have a pre I could bring over my Elektra Ref HD for a quick blast.

Well I could bring over the Phynx too I suppose :$

I did mention this to John when I picked them up! Might be fun.

Yeah I find JBLs really shine when they are given some grunt. I’m just a bit shy to push these as Greg’s documentation says to be careful when using high wattage.

90db? That must be for background listening. Your not rocking until your hitting peaks of 110.

Those Yammies look the goods. I think its time I bought a pair to rekindle my love.

Well it just so happens that there is a good pair up for sale at the moment !! :D

When I saw them last they looked to be in really good condition and Yamaha_man is a straight shooter.

Sorry for sidetracking your thread a bit @jakeyb77.... :sorry:

Your NS-1000s look like they have come up really nice.

I agree with @kelossus they definitely look the goods !! :thumb:
