LYRITA SRCS 109 FOR SALE

Recommended Posts

Item: Malcolm Arnold: "English, Scottish & Cornish Dances" LYRITA SRCS 109
Location: Sydney
Price: $175
Item Condition: LP Surface VG+; Cover VG
Reason for selling: Not listening to this now in my musical life
Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only
Extra Info:

Attention music lovers! This is the prized and 'unobtainable' LP from Lyrita that so rarely appears for sale. It is on the 'best of the best' lists for all recorded music (#1 on the TAS Super Disc List). Apparently your equipment only finds new depths of musicality from this LP every time you upgrade. My copy is in great condition; I see the slightest of faint, small scuffs (in good light) on one side on the vinyl (can't be heard) and a small nick on the top of the cover. Otherwise I would say the LP is in nearly mint condition. I have played tracks from it about 4 times. A NM copy sold in America for some $US300 last year, and a 'no signs of ever having been played'' copy is currently for sale on Discogs for EUR 199 ($AUS 297).

I would prefer local pick up but I could mail it (with insurance).

If you are in Sydney that would be good...

FROM A PREVIOUS SNA AD

These LP’s share some characteristics: the surfaces are in very good playing condition; most have been cleaned properly at some stage; some are ex-library records (but virtually unplayed); the covers are in good (or better condition); some are local pressings; all are stereo; they are musical gems. I have collected them over the last 5 decades.

I am getting too old to keep them unplayed in my large collection. It’s time to move them on to a keen audience. I have priced them very fairly as I want music lovers to own them. This is a chance to own such gems for a low price. Note that while the TAS listing may refer to a reissue or remastering, the original still has the music. My price reflects that—not necessarily the state of the collectable.

I would prefer to sell them as a ‘boxful, picked up in Sydney’. I am not set up to mail LP’s . I have sold some 15 boxes of quality classical LP’s this way over the past year and I have much more.

I do have many other rare and collectable jazz, pop and classical LP’s –Lyrita, Decca, EMI, RCA, Mercury + Audiophile goodies—for sale now. Including Lyrita SRCS 109 (Arnold’s English, Scottish & Cornish Dances) in Mint condition, which I will advertise shortly. Single ultra-rare LP’s I would consider mailing to a buyer. Interested buyers are welcome to contact me—as long as you are prepared to buy a boxful!

Regards

David

PKay, the playing condition of the records is excellent. I am only passing on really good stuff.

The prices I am happy to discuss with interested buyers who could possibly pick up. In general I would say that the prices are very reasonable

I am sending you a list of prices by PM
