Jam
Thanks to everyone who attended for making it another great weekend, the best of the year! Especially appreciative to Terry and Lindy for welcoming us every year. Notable mentions to the (expected) special contributions: - Joz bringing the coffee machine (and the skills) - John R (and bear) bringing the hot cinnamon donuts to cure the morning hangovers - Music nights on Saturdays (even with Marnie having lost her voice) - HB taking the customary group photo. Here's a snapshot of some of the action. 2

I am extremely happy Holden won the "last" race. What becomes of "Supercars" next year will mark the final departure for me from any association with where I came in ie Touring Cars. Yes they have not been "production cars" nor ran on anything resembling a "production" chassis for some time and all of the other "they are not real cars" stuff but they were based on "Holdens". I feel the same about the competition as well as the Adelaide Clipsal which I regularly attended. I guess I will be most interested in the 24 hour and GT cars goes. I am very sad to see this end.
frankn
The shell, the engine block and the Front: suspension Open to teams to create bespoke double-wishbone suspension geometry with adjustable damper and cockpit adjustable front anti-roll bar are the only bits open to variation. The rest is control specified parts. Designed to make the cars as close as possible. Gives more weight to the driver capabilities I believe. Darren69
Went for a spin around the track on Monday, the elevation was what I expected but I did not realise how narrow gutted the thing is! Across the top is like a bitumen sealed water slide! Dunno how they fit into some of those spots at a zillion km/h! I did it at speed in an XU1 decades ago - 'the dipper' is as scary as **** when the left front is off the ground. Never again!
