FS: Linn Axis turntable [ADELAIDE]

Recommended Posts

SOLD

Item: Linn Axis turntable with arm and cartridge
Location: Adelaide (pickup only)
Price: $650
Item Condition: Good
Reason for selling: Upgrading
Payment Method: Pickup - Cash
Extra Info:

I’m selling my Linn Axis turntable.  I bought this second-hand somewhere around 1999 (maybe later).

It includes the Linn Akito arm, the Audio Technica OC9 MC cartridge, the felt mat, original manual, and the perspex lid.  Phono cables are built-in.

Cosmetic condition is quite good; the lid is much better than other ones I’ve seen.  The OC9 still performs well but is probably fairly high in hours by now.

This turntable makes it easy to switch between 33 RPM and 45 RPM, many other turntables need the belt repositioned, but on the Axis it's just a button push.

Selling because I’m gradually updating my whole system, finally.

I don’t have any packaging for this turntable, so it’s strictly pickup only.

Looks really good. What are you upgrading to?

Lindsay,

These are great TT's and with this cart its well worth jumping on.  If you didn't like it you'd lose nothing if you sold it.

Thanks Pete

I am thinking seriously as we speak and I trust your judgement 100%:)

I used to own one which I purchased new in 88. It is a very musical sounding TT like it's older brother the Sondek.

Good value buying here. Early models had an issue with the switch but this looks like the refined later model.

Great turntable Lindsay and a bargain at that price. Hope it suits your needs.

Thanks mate. The only thing I wonder is how far I want to go beyond the looking glass, or if I want to inhabit a parallel universe:)

I think it might be a bit like Paradise Lost but that's probably too deep in a TT thread

What though the field be lost, all is not lost.

(well not quite. Yet! There's still time to turn back)
