Can you pm me for the xlr cable? I am also thinking moving sourced to back of my room.

I could give you the detail, no worries. However, it’s best I lend these to you for a trial in your setup. If they synergy well, then  go ahead investing. 😉

My current system!         Recorded handheld on my iphone with inbuilt microphone...so take it with a big dose of salt.

at very stage of my electronics, whether a source, CA, phono, preamps or poweramps, each has it own dedicated circuit,

Can I ask if you installed separate earth rods for this circuit? If so, what ground rod resistance did you achieve....and how deep did you have to go to achieve that?

i am asking because I am also in the process running a separate circuit to my listening room (waiting for the cables to arrive from Germany). I am going to install separate earth rods...so want to know what success others may have had with this.

Let me see, where do I start? 😏

Tonight trying my new (to me) Tannoy speakers, with my new AR preamp and new Goertz cables.

Thanks to @Len Wallis Audio & @TDX

Can't complain about having to stay at home atm 🙂

Has the changes to the system addressed the shortcomings we spoke about?

A lack of bass

Oh yes definitely. They are powerful enough to provide enough satisfying bass. I was lucky enough to try Mcintosh monoblocks before, they provided even more bass and was really nice to listen to.

it proves focals are really power hungry, no doubt if I move up to even bigger pass amps it will give more bass.  But now it’s already enough bass for my small room. 😆

The owner of this room is a close friend of mine. He lives in Saigon. I have listened to this room with older setup. Not this recent Setup done last June 2019. New Gryphon flagship speakers Kodo. Which is only approx $500,000.00 here in Australia.

It's probably just me - but I would not use "only" in connection with a hifi system worth half a million dollars, in particular in times of record unemployment. Anyway, carry on folks.

I'll take two please!

Need tunes in the lavatory also :)

It's all relative, I'm sure there are many in third world countries that would see a box system from HN as excess.

Hi Guys

My new room starting to come together.

I prefer a warmer sounding room and is why I have carpet instead of timber floor with the mandatory rug.

The room is a basement with 300mm concrete walls so I had a lot of  big bass issues but with the treatment now in place it’s made a dramatic improvement.

Cheers Tony.

Social isolation means I'm actually getting to clean my own vinyl collection rather than everyone else's!

sweet  - joining in.

My Orb DF-02 disc flattener has been the best purchase over the years - especially these days with a lot of dished LP's.   I am lucky enough to no longer worry about dished/warped LP's.

New arrangement. Very happy with how it is working out. Vinyl still in boxes but slowly coming out. Nice to have the doors on the Kallax to hide the Nintendo 😉

that Kallax on the right has a 2 box open space without a divider. I suppose you just left it out? I hadnt thought of that

Today I am listening to the music on my PC, this is a rare thing for me as up until very recently it was crap to be honest.

I used to have the output from the headphone socket going into my DIY HPA/pre into the ACA and then Vintage Wharfedales.

I now use the USB via the Topping D10. What a difference!

My brother in law has old wharfdale's - they sound great to me (I have Martin Logans)  but need a bit of space
