I was lucky enough to try Mcintosh monoblocks before, they provided even more bass and was really nice to listen to. it proves focals are really power hungry, no doubt if I move up to even bigger pass amps it will give more bass. I prefer a warmer sounding room and is why I have carpet instead of timber floor with the mandatory rug. The room is a basement with 300mm concrete walls so I had a lot of big bass issues but with the treatment now in place it’s made a dramatic improvement. My Orb DF-02 disc flattener has been the best purchase over the years - especially these days with a lot of dished LP's.
