Of course he is happy with the Wilson’s.  (I may be slightly biased)

And if there were no Wilson’s what would you have.

I thing he will stay with the Wilson’s  as there is no need to purve any longer at other speakers.

The super low power 1920s tube amp even struggled with 98db sensitive Beymas. So bring out the 2W big guns. 6L6 SE UL wine box amp “Silver Supreme” has no problems driving the Beymas. Not the deep bass of my usual Class D 12” woofer mix and horns but brings a whole lot more in tone and texture. Combined with my Elite tube preamp this is a very enjoyable combo.

Harsh but it's a truth that audiophiles need to admit to themselves

Wheeled in the  Beyma 12” concentrics currently up for sale. I wanted to listen to my 300mW 1920s tubed “Intermezzo” (the Dalek). These Beymas (“VoXConcentric”) are 98db sensitive (titanium tweeter 105db).

Amazing how much much volume I can get with just 1/3rd of a watt. Preamp is the modded Elite now also with a headphone driver chip. Intermezzo has an input impedance of 400ohms. The headphone driver works down to better than 32ohms. Sounds great. Low input impedance due to the fact there is no driver tube with the amp but a nickel core interstage Tranni. UX-171A tubes also have nickel plates.

That Dalek was aptly named!

When I was building “Intermezzo” I was looking in a local secondhand store for a base that would suit 1920s tubes. As I walked out the door this wooden plant box (possibly made in the 40s) caught my eye. It wasn’t until I sat in the car and started to think about it that I realised I could use it. It was probably locally (Tyabb) made plant box. Trannies in the base and the amp passives hang under the top plate OPTs in the black metal enclosure on top. Rec. tube is an “80” also from the same period.

I’m constantly on the cusp. But it’s a good thing. I have way too many mates that have no queen in their kingdom. And there kingdom is overran.

You seem to tinker as much as me. Like the Googlebox socks.

Love valves and high efficiency speakers.

Another try out for you, bi amp those Beymas, works for me to match drivers output etc. etc.

Running tri amp all valves and all horns atm.

Just installed 4x  15" Beyma bass drivers into the Horn Bass boxes.
