I do like the simplicity and symmetry, but then I am so anti clutter I would.

Listening to my Mirage 959is Speakers. Unique with the driver configuration, each speaker has two tweeters and two woofers, one pair firing forward and the other, a mirror image firing backwards. Tempted to say Bi Polar but i'm sure that means something else. Listening to the wonderful Youn Sun Nah - Same Girl

I will check out Same Girl album when I go to Korea in March. I only have Voyage and Lento CDs which I found them excellent in recording.

Once he has those big beastie speakers back in there it will be better I'm sure :)

But then, on closer inspection, these don’t actually look like small speakers they’re just dwarfed by the space it seems. What are they @joz.?

The fish tank incident?

Yep, 1.2 tons of water through the room within a matter of minutes.

Fish tank and cabinet now in the tip, as is the carpet and our couch.

Had to move out for them to dry out the floors. Today carpenters are here repairing damaged underfloor. Floors being re polished next week.

Hopefully we'll have our home back within the next two weeks.

Not sure when SGR will have my speakers back in situ as some repair work (not water damage) is being done.

God, what a disruption. Good thing the speakers didn’t have water damage. What are the speakers you’re using in the meantime?

Just some old DIY 4 ways which sound better than they should

Luckily I had a few extra tanks available which would be used for breeding

Only a slight visual change, isolated the ML-1's from the top plate of the stands using cut Whites Anti-vibration blocks and bamboo boards cut to size. Have actually cut the single front blocks into two since this earlier shot so there are 4x blocks under each board, clears the audio up in a nice way. Sound stage is also improved as a result.

Edit: I owe this to a tip on isolating the speakers from the stands from Dave O))) in another thread.

“intermezzo” (Dalek) is out again with its UX-171A 1920s tubes. Driven by my tube/preamp/HP amp and 98db sensitive 12” Beyma concentrics.  Played at moderate to good levels this 1/3rd (330mW) tube amp sound

s sooo good on cello, voice and violin.
