Vinyl / Records (ONLY) - Currently Spinning

Hi All,

If you think seven or eight weeks is a lot, I have been waiting since early April for several albums to be posted, as a couple of European countries will not post out of Europe "because of Covid".

So true it is frustrating right now - sellers from Germany and Spain are refusing to post right now as postage is not available - but had no trouble with other countries apart from the longer wait *sigh*

I'm just comfortably numb!

Blondie The Best of Blondie Australia 1981

Back spinning after a weeks R&R down at the beautiful Barwon Heads 🏄‍♂️   Aretha: Lady Soul

Having an AC/DC day in honour of Brian,  Phil and Cliff officially being back in the band.

An interesting little bit of info on these Albert production albums is that the very first pressing has a little kangaroo on the label , later pressings don't have it.

A Japanese pressing of Unicorn.

Interesting the Japanese liner notes look complete, but the English is missing quite a bit.

Maybe Marc is singing in Japanese.

Neil Young With Crazy Horse ‎– Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere - Neil doesn't get any better than this and the pressing is the best you can buy - well done Chris Bellman who remastered this for vinyl.

Agreed! Great taste in music. I greatly admire your acquisition strategy. I may have missed a previous explanation? Where are you ordering these disks from? So many of them seem to be MFSL and the like.

Cheers, I have only recently purchased a TT for the first time at age 60.

I have a good CD collection of eclectic music and a very good digital playback set up so the challenge is what to buy on vinyl that will sound at least same or better.

Hence a lot Bob and classic artists which I enjoy  and buying new Mofi as they sound better than a lot of what I have purchased new to date.... not cheap, but good. The challenge is to be very selective .

As to where.... Frank Prowse in Perth have a decent collection of Mofi given Covid and all , and are good guys to deal with 🙏👍.

Also getting some on Discogs, but very selective again......

🙏

Yes, part of the archive series. First 4 albums.

The current available reissues are pressed from the same masters, so will sound good.

I agree, Shane, Bellman did a sensational job and the four album box set was a gift from Dale many years ago, so they really mean a lot to me now. I can't recall when I got them, probably around 2010 I think, but this set is a relatively low number at 224. Everybody Knows and After The Gold Rush are the two I'm more likely to reach for.:thumb:

Cheers,

Keith

Im just missing his first LP. Have original us pressings up to and including on the beach, which is a great album to.

If you like his early stuff and dont already have it take a listen to Sugar Mountain (Live At Canterbury House 1968), great acoustics sessions.

      Original 2009 USA pressing.
Long out of print - even the 2013 reissues go for big bucks.
There were blue vinyl versions, and clear vinyl versions.
This could be either, it's impossible to tell.
Comes with CD version of the album.

This copy is sealed in shrink, but has suffered some light edge wearto the bottom and corners.
Ignore the apparent ringwear in the pics - that's just on the shrink not the jacket underneath.
