Hard to now believe that it was pressed in 1972. That’s the beauty of the vinyl. It all depends on the care what people has had but I personally think the gear used is also important. I might be wrong but I believe that those cartridges with very tiny stylus won’t wear the records too much.

Took delivery of some Japanese pressings through the week. Outstanding - the Robert Plant is without doubt the best version of this great album and the Miles is very close to the best version I have (I have several inc. MOFI, and the Classic Records release of this album). So it was excellent enjoying them and a real mood creator - probably why i'm a little sore today... in order of play: https://www.discogs.com/Art-Blakey-The-Jazz-Messengers-3-Blind-Mice/release/4527384 https://www.discogs.com/Miles-Davis-Sketches-Of-Spain/release/3548526 https://www.discogs.com/John-Coltrane-Blue-Train/release/2360084 https://www.discogs.com/Sonny-Rollins-On-Impulse/release/8886412 https://www.discogs.com/The-Oscar-Peterson-Trio-A-Jazz-Portrait-Of-Frank-Sinatra/release/7098702 https://www.discogs.com/The-Teskey-Brothers-Run-Home-Slow-/release/13950525 https://www.discogs.com/Gil-Scott-Heron-Spirits/release/13850851 https://www.discogs.com/City-And-Colour-Little-Hell/release/2966402 https://www.discogs.com/Albert-King-With-Stevie-Ray-Vaughan-In-Session/release/2678476 https://www.discogs.com/Tedeschi-Trucks-Band-Everybodys-Talkin/release/4392620 https://www.discogs.com/Robert-Plant-The-Principle-Of-Moments/release/11411851 https://www.discogs.com/Angus-And-Julia-Stone-A-Book-Like-This/release/13441653 to the pics Mate. You go all out with these posts. You make me feel lazy...no not really. I like that particular copy of Angus and Julia Stone. Only got to the one album yesterday. I heard a bottle of red calling out my name. So that was that for vinyl. To commiserate, l had another bottle. Feeling a bit lethargic today, for some reason. So laying back listening to Spotify. Currently listening to a dude called Daniel Thompkins, album is called Castles. It is really good. So good going to order it right now. I recon you would like it John (you too jj). Check him out. Here is the link if anyone interested - free on You Tube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=87-ZFjLfBAQ best act? TerryO
We had both forgotten how good this album was having not played it for well over twenty plus years, until now. Nearly every song on it was a hit and still sounds great. Edited April 19, 2020 by TerryO
