Vinyl - Currently Spinning

Recommended Posts

This is the last Beatles album in the collection

As noted on my last post that I’m missing a couple of LPs

But I’m happy to own this one as it’s a first Australian pressing from 1969

I have added another photo of some hand made figurines from Africa

Artist - The Beatles

Title - Abbey Road

Too old now to go chasing it?

Never too old to hear something new and interesting - the chase is the game for me.

The Church ‎– Priest = Aura - 2LP reissue from 2016 - even with average mastering for vinyl, its so much better than the CD.

Great album MB.

For me, this just edges out Starfish as their greatest album...but then again...

Finally on vinyl...  Yippee!

Also interested in your impressions?

This took a ridiculous 9 weeks to arrive from the US.  Tracking showed it's journey was Seattle, Austin, Chicago, Hong Kong, Perth, Sydney then Brisbane.

The sound quality is great.  Danny Carey's drums come at you like a panzer division and the bass is like a yawning abyss.

Hey RF.

A little hunting shows only 'Unofficial' pressings available...

I'm impressed that yours is good quality, but I think I'll wait for an official version...  if that EVER happens.

Cheers.

The Police - Ghost In The Machine.

I think the only reason I picked this up was it might have been the 2nd or 3rd cassette I ever bought (long gone - got chewed up in some dire bit of tape playing equipment).  Never bothered to buy it on CD not sure why.  Album is in remarkable shape, is better than I remember even given the overplayed nature of "Everything she does is magic".  Love the cover design.

Dead flat and super quiet pressing.

AC/DC need to be played loud and this album is crankable ,  good dynamics. Currently listening at around 95db with no harshness at all.

Congratulations to Kylie ......(on her Disco Album)

This week's result means Kylie sets a new Official Chart record, becoming the first female artist to score a Number 1 on the UK’s Official Albums Chart in five consecutive decades - in the ‘80s, ‘90s, ‘00s, ‘10s and ‘20s.
