Madonna - Hard Candy

Not normally my go to Madonna album but some great tracks IMO. The subterranean bass had the Duntech's working hard!

Hi @April Snow

It would be a 3600klm round trip 😉 to pop round, as for wine, any colour as long as it is in a glass.

See below for reference.

JJ

Hmmmmm might make me late for work then -

guess I will just have to be there in spirit and drink some spirits 🙂

That looks good, is that white vinyl with a splash of Pink? I have all her CD albums (and every CD single too - I confess) but in Vinyl so far only have True Blue, Madame X, ROL, Erotica (if you like that album get the Sainsbury UK one - it is delish), You Can Dance, Like a Virgin, Like a Prayer (UK & Oz - prefer UK one).

Also some 12 inch vinyl singles.

I have been researching each vinyl though and tend to go for the original releases.

Havent researched this album though, it is a goodie? Some of the new ones seem a little hit and miss?

Thank you love being here xxx

Oh I am not near the fires but thinking of those that are.

We just had a massive hail storm through - hail the size of eggs- great - ripped the grill off the front of my aircon and now I gotta work out how to snap it back on - (that will be easy) but the fact I don't have a ladder and am short will be the difficult part - hahahahahahhaa

Me too, I got a UK Like a Prayer 1989 pressing and it still smells like Patchouli !!!!!

It is a better sound to the Aussie pressing I feel too.

Wow such cool records you all listen to, I have not heard of half of these artists - this is the cool thing about Vinyl, more discoveries to be made.

Anyway, shall attach my Sunday Vibes - seeing us Ladiezzzzzzz are less in number posting in the thread.

Hope everyone is having a chilled Sunday (even though steamy hot where I live today).

(Prince - Sign of the Times - Reissue as it is a good pressing).

Thank you, I tossed up between getting the original pressing or this re-issue, but the reviews were good on the re-issue so grabbed it. I do prefer the original pressings though most of the time.........

Cleaned a few records today, so most were from the vaults. Some recent Op shop purchases, along with some I have been meaning to clean for a while.

Toni Childs- Union. Great voice and clean late 80s sound.

D0333A04-F04B-40AF-A3DC-9F1B160972F1.jpeg
Oso Oso- Basking in the Glow. A great new album, when I was sick of being limited by what I had just cleaned.

505B8BF6-2E4F-4423-821F-7677B3C863DA.jpeg

Joni Mitchell- Court and Spark. A bit of a classic, with that production style that puts her just a bit too close to you.

7B155A87-8A5A-4E44-9542-272FC0A7F009.jpeg

Bowie- Ziggy Stardust. Just an Aussie issue, but sh*t it sounds good just cleaned. Such a great album- side two is just packed with even better songs than side one, which is already stellar.

8FD1D6C0-F90A-4FDF-9A6C-328F10A89853.jpeg

Bruce Hornsby- the way it is. Great piano based smooth rock.

Joni Mitchell, great singer. I don’t have any of her albums, I like the version that Herbie Hancock did for Court and Spark

Sassy Sunday Vibes !!

Madonna - Erotica - Sainsbury White Ltd Ed (UK)

Need to turn the volume up slightly on this one compared to other albums but it is smooth as silk otherwise.

My favourite Madonna album.

Sounds fantastic, sounds better than the CD which I’ve been playing of late.

Great depth and scale, “I’ve been dazed”, great track.

The Rat Pack – Live At The Sands – 2LP Limited reissue in gatefold - BRAND NEW & SEALED.
2014 rmastered set, originally recorded live at The Sands Hotel, Las Vegas, Nevada on September 7, 1963. Includes liner notes by Bill Zehme. Digitally remastered by Lee Herschberg. Pressed in the Netherlands and sounds fantastic.
For those whose favourite part of the legendary Sinatra/Count Basie LIVE AT THE SANDS album was Frank's lengthy comedic monologue, THE RAT PACK: LIVE AT THE SANDS will arrive like manna from hipster's heaven. The disc features an entire performance by the storied "rat pack" of the Chairman and his musical pals Dean Martin and Sammy Davis, Jr., but most of the show is given over to shtick and banter. Fittingly, Sinatra gets the most straight-ahead musical time with a brace of sterling ballads whose appearance should delight hardcore fans. Fortunately, the humorous barbs passed around the stage for the bulk of the performance are extremely sharp and funny (if politically incorrect in the extreme). Taken as a comedy album with some stirring musical moments, this disc is a gem for those who revere the Rat Pack, as they are captured at the peak of their powers and popularity, exuding hipness from every pore. LIVE AT THE SANDS is a bona fide cultural artefact documenting one generation's apex of cool.    $35

      Alan Parsons Project – I Robot – 2LP LEGACY 2013 release 35th Anniversary Edition - BRAND NEW & SEALED.
MOV pressing in a gatefold sleeve. Including an 8 page booklet with rare photos & liner notes by Alan Parsons, and 14 bonus tracks on the second disc.
      Lovely double album package.    $45

Led Zeppelin - How The West Was Won (SUPER DELUXE EDITION) – 4LP, 3CD, DVD and Book – 2018 EU pressed Box Set. BRAND NEW & SEALED.
'How The West Was Won' highlights the best performances from Led Zeppelin’s legendary concerts at the Los Angeles Forum and Long Beach Arena on June 25 and 27, 1972. Standouts include a 25-plus minute version of 'Dazed And Confused' and a 21-minute medley based around 'Whole Lotta Love'. The performances also capture the band introducing songs from its then-unreleased album 'Houses Of The Holy', which would be released nine months later. The Super Deluxe Boxed Set contains: Remastered audio on three CDs and four 180-gram vinyl LPs. DVD of the album in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround and PCM Stereo, plus photo gallery. High-def download card of all stereo audio content at 96kHz/24 bit. A 52 page book filled with rare and previously unpublished photos of the band at each of the concert locations, plus memorabilia and ephemera. High-quality print of the original album cover, the first 30,000 of which will be individually numbered.
Goes for anywhere from $230-$245 online anywhere you care to check.
      How's half that?      $125

Item Condition: As New Shipping Options: Pickup is available,I can ship this item Suburb or Town: Terang State: Victoria Payment Method: Reason for selling: Never used Further information: I have decided to sell some of my Wings and Paul McCartney LP's. All were bought new by me in the 1970/80's and all are Australian pressings. Some like Wings over America have never been out of the jacket. All are as NEW, most are first Aussie pressings. The record jackets and inner sleeves are in the same condition they came new from Brashes in Dee Why.

This is a once in a life time opportunity to obtain effectively new old stock LP's.

I know how difficult it can be to buy used LP's so I'm happy for anyone to audition on my Technics SP10. I played Wings Wild Life for the first time last night and without cleaning it was as you would expect from a new LP.
