For someone who has a hit and miss relationship with the Beatles you sure have a lot of hits?

What can I say ? Except that I may only like one or two tracks off each album

So I have a handful of the Mono releases and the rest are in stereo

Plus a full Australian Gold box set still sealed

I purchased it new over 30 years ago

Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells

US 1st Press (mono).

Got it for $4US as a G+ add on to another order as it didn’t increase shipping... 2 runs of revirginizer and it’s now VG+

45rpm analogue remaster by Bernie and AP for Geffen. My understanding is that this is the master tape for the ORG version he did (similar to Geffen’s shenanigans in quietly re-releasing the ORG Nevermind and Xing out the ORG matrices in the dead wax).

So much chatter about this band lately, I pulled out this record which I haven't listened to much at all!!!

A quick search revealed that there's a misprint on the sleeve, r.m.p. instead of r.p.m. making it a collectible item....mmmm!

This next album is a double and the only twin LP the Fab4 released

Beatles travelled to Rishikesh in northern India to take part in a Transcendental Meditation training course at the ashram of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.

I believe this album was written after that stint in India

And this is also the last of my Mono Fab4 records in the collection

The rest that follow will be in stereo

Artist - The Beatles

Title - White Album ( as it’s known )

Album ID - https://www.discogs.com/The-Beatles-The-Beatles/release/4546697

Guest Old Man Rubber

Not the white album, but a white album.

Emmylou Harris - Wrecking Ball

(deluxe edition - 3 LPs)

One of my favourites, I bought this very cheap at one point although discogs suggests it's worth a couple of bucks now.

So which 28 songs don’t you like??

funnily enough that record has the only Beatle song I don’t like since they “became” The Beatles of numerous books and billions of words with the release of Rubber Soul

Abbey Road or this record a toss up for the best Beatles record

Emmylou loves The Beatles?

I hate to say it but...I actually agree with that review ?   I think it was over-exposure to the Beatles growing up but I just can't listen to any of it.  I feel like I'm missing out to a certain extent but there were so many bands that took that sound I don't tend to worry about it too much.  Their heir-apparents Badfinger are more palatable though.

If you don’t like The Beatles try this on Spotify

Sounds nothing like them but the sound is there so to speak

Dwight Twilley

Great record
