Impressive, as usual. How is that Frank’s album SQ?

cheers mate.  It's a solid recording and for the price, very good value for the SQ it has.  It's not setting any new standards, but comes with poly lined inners and very quiet noise floor.  I enjoyed it.

Dolly, Linda & Emmylou

Trio

1987

Australia

NM

I am not a country fan but do like Dolly (she is hard not to like) and this is a lovely album - I added it to my order of Cher I got yesterday to make the shipping more worth it, and glad I did - it is fun and I thought the inner sleeve with cut out dollies was rather cute too.

country music is a broad church?

Have a look at this doco on the making of that record

Does go for an hour and has a lot of background information about the 3 women

I watched it on Monday night

Give you a better idea of what country music is

Dolly Parton is a much more complicated person than she appears

She was born into the heartland of where American country music comes from

And she can play a banjo

I think I have seen that before but shall check it out again (thank you), I know a fair bit about Dolly - always liked her and her bravery as a woman and her honesty. She is my fav of the three ladies. I shall check this out now over dinner - thank you @keyse1

Boz Scaggs & Band...backed by an incredible bunch of musicians, including Chepito Areas & Mike Caramello who cook up a storm with their percussion on the standout track "Flames of Love".

George Strait - Honky Tonk Time Machine.  33rpm on MCA Nashville label. One of my favourite albums from one of my favourite country performers. All great songs, but with a few real standouts for me in God and Country Music, Old Violin, Weight Of The Badge and Sing One With Willie is a bit of fun too. Highly recommended.:thumb:
