Went to guitar world in Cannington on 22nd March 2005 for a meet and greet with Joe Satriani.

I took my vinyl copy of The Extremist for him to sign.

He said " wow ! Don't see many of those around "

I asked if there was any chance of him releasing his current albums on vinyl instead of just cd.

He said "oh I think those days are gone man"

Luckily he was wrong about that.

Wow, that’s so cool. Bet you play the guitar,  I have seen him live as well at the Pavilion and also have a copy of the extremist, crying is My favourite of it

This is on my to buy list.

Just waiting for a JB 20% off sale.

Mines got more crackles and pops than I’d call acceptable, not the best pressing, and it’s had a US clean prior.

Another of my favourites, The Alan Parsons Project The turn of a friendly car

I'm not usually a fan of Aus pressings, but any of the Aus pressings of APP sound outstandingly good. I got a minter copy of Turn of a Friendly Card for something like $8, and it easily rivals my Japanese pressing of the same.

I think a lot of it is down to Alan Parsons' ear for audio engineering. Dynamics beyond comparison.

After surviving a 1 in 10 year (insert here the latest weather event) Its just a wet and miserable day here in Perth. Why not listen to some blues to pick me up, hehehe. Mr John Lee Hookers "The Healer. A great album with guest artists helping out along the way.

That makes sense seeing he was the chief engineer on Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of The Moon" album.
