How did he go I was not an Adam Lambert fan & nobody will or can ever replace Freddie but I totally understand now why Brian and Roger picked him - he is dynamic and puts his own flavour on the tracks and it totally works and is respectful. Adam explained that he is also a mega Freddie fan and you get the feeling he is not even wanting to replace him but fully realises his role in the band. I wanted to go as I wanted to see Brian May on his Red Special and thought it was about time I did before one of us dies (LOL). The show was incredible and whoever did the staging and effect is an artist in their own right, the show was a journey. I loved hearing Brian perform Brighton Rock - it was unbelievable in a stadium setting. I am glad I went - even though I was skeptical as I am a Freddie Fan - it was perfectly executed.

Guest
Mike Oldfield - Flying Start 12". Nice to see Mike and Kevin Ayers performing together. Imagine being Kevin when the superstar who was once your little weird bass player rings you up wanting you to perform vocals on his new single. Mike copped a lot of sh*t for his music during the 80s.. Not me, I reckon it's great. This came from the 1987 "Islands" LP which was seriously underrated IMHO. How did he go He is not bad actually, though he is not a patch on Freddy. I still choke at the debacle INXS turned into. Not sure if any band l know of survived any lead singer replacement. Not even AC/DC imo. The only one that comes to mind is Marillion. Love what both singers brought to the band. Calling that one a dead heat.
