Janjuggler
Hi @Full Range The biggest thing I noticed is that where there are woodwinds, they do not sound as 'hot' as the original Australian release (PDS 348) The other thing that is noticeable with the covers side by side is that the 50th Anniversary is a little more muted in colour. I am currently listening to the second LP which are different versions of the album. JJ Edited December 20, 2019 by Janjuc

JJ I had the first press but had to replace it due to it being lost or lent out Then I purchased the 1978 Aust re issue Polidor – 2310 516 And that’s my only reference point at present - but I do find the 1978 reissue quite engaging That being said my impressions are system dependent

April Snow
Record fair purchase from last week. Was a nostalgia purchase - my mum used to have this in her collection. I like it though - Elvis has a beautiful voice. Record original 70s pressing - but quite crackly - one I will have to try and replace.
