I have 1996 Penfolds wines which I may open sometime this year.

Edit: actually I have few bottles of 1993 Grange and 1994 St Henri Magnum yet to open them.

Best to judge it yourself mate.

Since you have a few cases, drink a bottle every half a year and see.

On average I consumed a bottle in two days. A typical week, 3 to 4 bottles drained, and that is just by myself.
If my siblings and friends visiting, that modest figures grows exponentially....

I buy in bulks too but still I kept ran out those of my fav. The temptation to resist is extremely challenging for me to refrain...., along with financial adequacy servings such needs?!
Hat off for you both really!

A great afternoon with a couple of great blokes @coeuslee and @AccuMagi that Pinot in particular for me was a highlight, with a few quick wonderful drams from Islay, which were a great way to finish o

I'm better at collecting than taking photos; the dreaded back lighting.   Anyway, my museum contribution to lunch today at a friend's   Mount Pleasant Lovedale Semillon 1997 C

First time posting here, be gentle!

Rewards of patience, I put them away and I leave them in boxes no labels just numbers (keep a wine list) that stop me from seeing them (especially the red caps haha).

In saying that I still drink them earlier, it is interesting to taste a wine as it aged.

Beautiful Pinot Meunier Champagne from a very small biodynamic producer.

Perfect way to celebrate and appreciate the amazing work that mums do! And of course a lamb roast😉

Chardonnay on the left is from Grand Cru Nedlands/Mt Lawley and @$28 it’s pretty sharp buying

Forgive my ignorance, but is that an upmarket 'cleanskin' direct from the bottlo?  I don't quite know of an equivalent thing in Vic, but it makes sense👍

Hi Tripitaka, it is a cleanskin only available from this bottle shop unfortunately, from what I believe is one singled barrel that didn’t make the cut for the Art Series.

Thanks!!

...and given that the Art series chardies are over $100 bucks then that probably is sharp buying 🙂

Just lowering the tone for a short  moment, this 2018 MR cabernet was pretty decent buying at around 10 bucks last year

Edit: my mum doesn't drink so I'm kicking back after driving her up to Kyneton for a nice lunch together

A bottle(s) of 2000 Bordeaux aged in zero gravity....

https://robbreport.com/food-drink/wine/space-aged-petrus-2000-wine-auction-1234611613/

I'd be a bit worried about the closed atmosphere and all the astronaut sweat/stink getting into the wine than the actual effect of zero gravity. But as a collectors item (remaining unopened) it could be worth a bit. Until there's a second one...

I like it Steve..! good values for $18/bottle.
Taste in the $40 range for me personally. Subjective there.
Bolt of Plum, blackberry/pepper. Still has a strong citric to the favour but surely will mature over time... certainly will stock them more for probably 10 more years.
Pls forgive me with my rookies observations..

AGG  & AM, thought you might want to look at this: http://www.tahbilk.com.au/buy-tahbilk-wine-online/wine-sales-online/buy-wine-online/2019-shiraz-clean-skin-dozen.html

Note the two (or more) dozen price!

$8/bottle delivered is budget-friendly drinking, if you dont mind no labels. Then again I have a friend who prints labels for his cleanskins, just for the hell of it.
