Wow! I had to look up Cairanne to find the grapes, may I ask if it has lasted the distance of 16 years?

Half the posters to this thread seem to be either winemakers or sommelier-trained, so the odds are stacked against an innocent commenter ha 😂

Who doesn't love a 389!!

Can't quite see the year(s) tho? Are they all 2013?

Thought about having a look at the Alto Moncayo tonight but discovering the Alc/Vol at 16.5% not so sure, see how the night goes.

The Ampuis a far more sensible option.......and at 17 years young is crying to be let out 🤟

Yes. These are 2013. Earlier years drained too quickly, and I can’t have enough 2010.
Please guys... if you are still having the expired 2010 Bin389..., don’t throw them away..., I will come to the rescue...., with negotiation opportunity.

I can still remember the bottles of 2010 Ive had, amazing.

I am down to my last bottle of 389 (its a 2016).

From what Ive seen of your collection in other threads it does seem to tilt pretty heavily towards 389, half your luck!

Very nice mate. You need to buy more so you don't need to drink them so early. It is a completely different wine after another 15 ro 20 years

You have plenty of time mate, last st henri i opened recebtly was 1997 or 1995... i would put them away for another 20 years and start open a bottle every 2 to 3 years. 2010 last forever, i got some 2013 for my son's 30th

Another question if you don’t mind. This is one of my favourite reds. I’m told that this should really be opened within 10yrs as it doesn’t cellar well. Any of you guys can give me your opinions?

I have a few cases so I do t won’t it to spoil.

I very much like their Riesling (polish hill) but it leaves me rough! Haha

Best to judge it yourself mate.

Since you have a few cases, drink a bottle every half a year and see.

I have 1996 Penfolds wines which I may open sometime this year.

Edit: actually I have few bottles of 1993 Grange and 1994 St Henri Magnum yet to open them.

Gee, I would imagine a Cabernet of this caliber should last well beyond 10 years, I’ve never tried it mind you but if I only had one I would be waiting a few more years if I could and if I had a good stash I would be definitely be enjoying some now for sure!🍷

The Polish Hill is a beauty isn’t it, I get a bit rough with the whites too.

Red is a Gamay, Pinot, Cab Franc blend from what I can gather, it’s nice enough.

For the Perth crowd the Chardonnay on the left is from Grand Cru Nedlands/Mt Lawley and @$28 it’s pretty sharp buying.
