It is with great honor that I have been asked to post details of completion for the following threads:

Each thread will have corresponding photos pertaining to the respective DIY project/thread.

Since this thread is titled "batteries", let's see how this side of things has panned out.

Firstly, power source....(solar panels of course!)

Conclusion (for all associated threads)

This build thread/s has been a good read to say the least. But to actually hear the final product used as intended, is something else altogether. All the elements have come together perfectly for this alchemic task in such short amount of time. Yes, you could almost say it was "magic".

And yes, it did actually achieve 125dB as viewed on the RTA (and witnessed by yours truly). Mic was in front of the mixing desk, 8 metres from the speakers, with about 100 live bobbing bodies in between. (hard to catch peaks on a still camera)

So if his avatar name was the aim, then he has definitely achieved what he set out to do. Those that know him personally, will know that he is passionate, and does things with conviction and honesty. The loss of this SNA member is sad and I'm sure he will be missed by many. I hope closure has been achieved by this post, by all parties involved.

You can't blame a man for speaking his mind about dodgy back room deals.
I certainly be following his antics on other forums.
Glad to see he reached 125db! I've been telling him he needs to change his name!

Item: VPI Traveller V2 Turntable (no cartridge)
      Location: Sydney
Price: $1300 including the custom made dust cover that I had.
      Item Condition: Excellent
      Reason for selling: NLR
Payment Method: Pickup – Cash preferred but I have the box so can post at buyers cost.
      Extra Info:
Australian delivered stock from Krispy Audio and I purchased it from there second hand in May 2016. It’s in excellent condition with no marks whatsoever on the unit. Interestingly, even though it’s Aus delivered, I cannot find the serial number anywhere on the unit? Checked the box and it may have been written there but the tag could’ve been taken off?

Comes with original box, instructions and packaging. Perspex lid was made locally in Sydney and is in excellent condition. It may be quite difficult to pack and post.

Beautifully made turntable, as usual from VPI, and sounds divine with the right cartridge.  I’ve enjoyed it immensely since owning it as I’m sure the next owner will too.

Forgot to mention that the hideous lounge is sadly not included.

I bought this lovely RP3 six months ago (December 2017) from Klapp AV, so its still under warranty. Since its purchase, the TT has been professionally upgraded at Carlton AV with new counterweight. Here are the list of mods -

      1. Edwards Little belter (RRP $27)
      2. Nimak sub-platter (RRP $140) with 2 Rega spacers
      3. Michell Technoweight (RRP $180)
      4. Funk firm Acromat (RRP $ 107) - please note a light scratch in picture, it does not affect sound quality
      5. Rega TT PSU (RRP $440) - purchased along with the TT from CAV.
      6. Rega Elys Cartridge (detached)

Please note, I am selling only the TT (without the cartridge) but more than happy to throw in a Rega Elys cartridge at no extra cost, all you have to do is install it yourself.
The Elys came with an older Planar 3 I used to own, so don’t know how many hours its done because, I installed an Ortofon 2M Black soon after its purchase.

I am also giving away the stock sub-platter, counterweight and belt, for no extra cost to buyer, as I no longer need them (pictured).

I have auditioned this TT against the RP6 and RP7 and found it better sounding than them both. Unfortunately I don’t have friends who own an RP8 for a direct comparison. Here are a few videos of the TT you will be purchasing -

You are getting a mint TT worth around $2000 (including mods), for a good price.  I have the original boxes and invoices. Though I prefer a local pickup, I am happy to post it to anywhere in Australia, at buyers cost.

      Item: Rega RP8
      Location: Redfern
      Price: Reduced to $2000
      Item Condition: 8/10. See info.
Reason for selling: NR/Funding something else
Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Bank Transfer Only
      Extra Info:

The RP8 was purchased when it was first available in Australia so it is a few years old. It has been well cared for as you can see in the pictures below. It has been working in a perfect condition without any hiccups. It is rated 8/10 only for its age, otherwise, it is in near new condition except for a few light scratches on the outer frame. The lid, however, is quite scruffy and there are a few long light scratches but nothing too serious.

The power supply is included but not pictured. Will provide one if required. It is like new without scratches.

The Apheta cart in the pictures is not included in this sale as it has been sold.

I have the box so shipping is no problem if required, and it will be quite cheap as it is very light.
