@Upfront

Been a very busy weekend as the countdown is on, want to show something really cool with our GTG.

@Aussieamps I have isolated the problems. After doing some more work (midnight session) have 1 amp in service and one soaking for the day.

Full steam ahead to get the last little amp going for the second set up.

I have been following your excellent posts @125dBmonster and was wondering how the bloody hell it sounds like?

Gday Bro

Check out the "Open Tasmania Lounge", we had a fairly big to do on the last weekend.

Sounds like 18's and horns on steroids, Mate. :) Lounge has a decay plot to aim for also.

Anyone from SNA is welcome to drop by for a listen and a drink, put the feet up after a long travel to get here.

I am sure it was a top evening, thanks for the invite next time I'm in Tassie i will pop in to say hi.
Do you feel that your system is complete for you now? What's next?

It's actually really busy, put the concrete in the ground today for the new lounge under construction.

As good as the horn rig is here, it will do better some where else bigger.

Current Lounge is an amazing place to listen to music and (interrogate) gear.

2 systems going,

Looks like there is still a fair bit to do. I miss Tassie and was very close to moving back there with my family last year. Is electronics a hobby or your trade cobber?

Hi Topshelf

Electronics is a hobby, blends well with Electrical Contracting , specialising in off grid power supplies and running an off grid power electronics supply shop.

The second sound lounge is part of a long term plan to get out of town and become a fringe dweller, in  an area with less "rates and contracts"  while moving into semi retirement and beyond

Found the land (5500m2 block) 8Klm's from the CBD and slowly developing it with an ancillaries building (120m2 under cover)  currently under construction. Using 3 x 40 foot shipping containers, late model ones with bamboo ply floor and made in Germany. Next week will be craning them into their final positions with any luck. Containers are partly fitted out so far with office and workshop, full off grid power and comms systems.

Lots to do, but things are happening and progress is good.

50 ton crane organised for next week  to put the new lounge on rubber pads and concrete blocks. :party  Thankfully we had a large petrol powered jackhammer to cut square stump footing holes the quartz bedrock under topsoil, blow with 10 kg crow bar = 1 tea spoon full of quartz. We actually were able to use the stone from the diggings as cement gravel, what came out went back in mixed with purchased gravel.

Won't go anywhere.

There was a reason for setting up the datum strings with rocks. Could only drive a 12" star dropper in here or there, too hard otherwise.

It's a pity Sean can't remember anything as i bet he has a story or two. Great track, off down to the garage to get "plastic beach" and will give it a spin tonight.
How was the lift?

It certainly did, work safe involved and a near catastrophic incident where if the worker was another 50ml toward the forklift he would probably have been killed. A big week at work for us all.......

He is one lucky lad, what he was thinking i have no idea he is still on leave.
I wasn't on the floor when it happened but feel sure that had i seen what was unfolding i would have halted it immediately. Ironically i was in a WHS meeting and had raised my concerns about the size of the stones we are currently working. Some are close to 5t!
