Wound up purchasing all the rest of the Tone Poet series and the Blue Note 80 that have been released so far except the Lou Donaldson "Mr Shing A Ling" which just doesn't move me.

The packaging on the TP series are the equal of the Music Matters BN lps. The Blue Note 80 lps are much simpler packaging but the pressings appear to be as flawless as the TP releases.

I have been looking for a copy of this in NM condition for ages and I finally found one. Featuring some great Australian musicians and this is a vintage Aussie treasure.

Not bought, but trialling 2 phono cable from Aurealis Audio. Pure silver and a new silver/copper litz.

Still on on the silver/ copper at the moment. Very detailed sound, doesn’t seem harsh.  Bass is good. More listening to be done. ?

from Geoff.

"The red and black cable is the new hybrid Litz.  The deep grey is the Neoteotech silver.  Labels go at the source end - where the carbon shield has been tied to negative with a silver wire for draining.  Draining the shield still seems to be important with the conductive carbon shield when used as a phono cable (I’ve tested this and there was still a very tiny hum when the shield was untied) - but anywhere else in the system the shield doesn’t need to be drained.  It largely a reflective shield which bounces off the RFI - unlike copper braids and foils which mostly absorbed the RFI - and must be drained all the time."
