For years I’ve been reading about people scoring bargain basement deals through the used goods marketplaces in various forums. I read most of the post purchase comments to these posts, and there are q

I just picked up a new Luxman PD171A with a Ortofon PWti cartridge

Nothing more than an indulgence purely for the aesthetics. Soulines U-Base to compliment the Kubrick DCX.

Picked up few hours ago, now installed and the phono stage with the right settings, this little guy is amazing. Enjoying the beautiful voice of Tracy Thorn singing the Paris Match in Cafe Bleu.

Those old Technics cartridges are very good. In fact the EPC 205 and 100 mk4's are renowned as being a couple of the best cartridges ever made and sell for silly $$. I have a 205mk2 with a Jico SAS and it's brilliant.

I received a cool order today. King Gizzard's Polygondwanaland "remastered" in 8-Bit. Also, a NES Cart with 14 "remastered" King Gizzard albums.

Wings - Venus and Mars.  Bought a couple of days ago and eagerly awaiting its arrival...i have an Aussie pressing already, but a rather "well worn" hand me down.  So this is a replacement as it were, not a start down the slippery multiple-pressings-of-every-album thing...it's not...honest 😳

Beats me why some LPs still come in paper sleeves drenched in static. Such a nightmare pulling them out.

Yep, a real PITA, but you have the right remedy there in that pic.:thumb:

Cheers,

Ibought a LP of this from a dusty old second hand shop - it's a little scratchy, but the songs are great although it's a very bright recording and I have trouble playing it at the volume it deserves. My copy is 'made in England' and doesn't have The name of the band on the bottom of the cover.

Can't have too many Ian Dury comps.

I think this is a pic of the CD release Grump. I did notice pics without the bandname and meant to change the image.

Hoping this German pressing isn't too bright.....I don't like 'bright'.☺

Found this on Discogs for half the price it is going for locally. I just need to wait for it to arrive from Germany. Let’s hope it survives the journey

Love this album and King Creosote though I wish without that silly song...

Got mine from Amazon AU for  $13.70 back in March with free shipping! Sometimes they do have a real bargin! 😁

Hi All,

Rerelease in Silver vinyl, Tin Machine II, David Bowie when he formed / performed in a band for several years in the early 90s.

I own and enjoy Tin Machines first album....it's raw and exciting but find this one challenging indeed. To me, it's a little inconsistent and at times, rather incoherent but I hope you like it......which you must because you just bought it. 😀👍

My fav PF album. The 2016 pressing sounds good, but I'd recommend getting your hands on a 1st Aussie pressing if you can find one.
