I just picked up a new Luxman PD171A with a Ortofon PWti cartridge

Nothing more than an indulgence purely for the aesthetics. Soulines U-Base to compliment the Kubrick DCX.

Not bought today, but arrived today. Great packaging. Has a lush, magnificent soundstage. Analogue Productions nailed it.

Actually it wasn't that bad. About $600 CAD all in. The great part is most of it was purchased online & shipped for free. If I had to pay an additional $20-30 postage (expensive here in The Great White North) for each item I'd not have done it. I would really like to purchase at bricks and mortar stores but in my area none of this stuff is available even on special order. I'm esp happy about the Blue Note purchases because these will probably sell out fairly quickly at these reasonable prices.

I had a similar order of Blue Note and Anologue Productions placed at Acoustic Sounds when they had a heap on clearance and 15% off... reluctantly cancelled my order when they quoted about $150USD shipping though :(

A fruitful visit to the local second hand record shop. Been looking out for the Go Go’s for ages. A bit of surface noise, but nothing that detracts from the music.

I was given an ODYSSEY RPX-1G tonearm by a mate,or should i say,the remains of one-armlift was missing, counter weight missing, rewired with something akin to mains cable, rusty and arm wand scratched to bits.

I got in contact with John Gordon, who lives in Scotland-he designed and built them.

He agreed to rebuild it for me-$700 all up,including VDH rewire.

6 weeks later,it arrived back-to say i am impressed is an understatement, the guy is a true craftsman.

This one is a keeper,-one for the collection !

As the last shot shows,it is now on my table, and ready for me to fit armleads-FurutechAG12

As mentioned a few days ago on the 'Currently Spinning' thread, a NM UK 1st pressing of The The's "Mind Bomb" at a great price, after an RV peel of my current copy couldn't improve it enough....too much crackly damage. Fingers crossed on this copy.

Not sure why it has taken me so long to get this on Vinyl. This was something else when it came out, amongst the tide of Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, and all the other alternative music of the early-mid-90s. It doesn’t disappoint, and refreshingly, it fits on two sides.

Apologies for butting in but I think it's a large cube of Magic Eraser....in a 'cue down' spot.🙂

I have been looking for a copy of this in NM condition for ages and I finally found one. Featuring some great Australian musicians and this is a vintage Aussie treasure.

Wound up purchasing all the rest of the Tone Poet series and the Blue Note 80 that have been released so far except the Lou Donaldson "Mr Shing A Ling" which just doesn't move me.

The packaging on the TP series are the equal of the Music Matters BN lps. The Blue Note 80 lps are much simpler packaging but the pressings appear to be as flawless as the TP releases.
