Picked up few hours ago, now installed and the phono stage with the right settings, this little guy is amazing. Enjoying the beautiful voice of Tracy Thorn singing the Paris Match in Cafe Bleu.

Purchased recently on ebay.... "Jukebox Dury" Ian Dury and the Blockheads 'best of', German pressing, graded Ex+ from quality UK seller.

I've been wanting this for ages....it has ALL of his hits.?

Those old Technics cartridges are very good. In fact the EPC 205 and 100 mk4's are renowned as being a couple of the best cartridges ever made and sell for silly $$. I have a 205mk2 with a Jico SAS and it's brilliant.

I'm bit of a fan of N.O.W (George Evelyn) ?

Have had this on CD for yonks, picked up on licorice this morning and looking forward to giving it a spin later.

Wings - Venus and Mars.  Bought a couple of days ago and eagerly awaiting its arrival...i have an Aussie pressing already, but a rather "well worn" hand me down.  So this is a replacement as it were, not a start down the slippery multiple-pressings-of-every-album thing...it's not...honest ?

Beats me why some LPs still come in paper sleeves drenched in static. Such a nightmare pulling them out.

Yep, a real PITA, but you have the right remedy there in that pic.:thumb:

Cheers,

Ibought a LP of this from a dusty old second hand shop - it's a little scratchy, but the songs are great although it's a very bright recording and I have trouble playing it at the volume it deserves. My copy is 'made in England' and doesn't have The name of the band on the bottom of the cover.

Can't have too many Ian Dury comps.

I think this is a pic of the CD release Grump. I did notice pics without the bandname and meant to change the image.

Hoping this German pressing isn't too bright.....I don't like 'bright'.☺
