Bummer

I taped it last night in the hope it was going to another left field series.

Looking forward to the return of Killing Eve next month

Yep, after all the hype advertising wise it was quite a disappointment! No comparison to the excellent and inventive Counterpart!

Pagan Peak is mighty scary! https://www.sbs.com.au/ondemand/program/pagan-peak

Hanging out for The Good Fight's return season https://www.sbs.com.au/programs/thegoodfight

I really enjoyed Pagan Peak.

Just seen the trailer for the second series of Killing Eve - it suggests it is only on iView.

Anyone a fan of Tin Star?

I thought I was well up to speed with all the good euro dramas, especially the nordic noir, but this thread shows I have missed a lot. Thanks for everyone posting.

Here are some suggestions missed, or only posted by one other member.

Dark - if you liked Stranger Things, this German drama is full on and set half in the 80's

Gamorra - brilliant Italian crime drama, especially the 1st season.

Les Revenants - Superior French original of 'The Returned'

The Disappearance - Another great French series

Fortitude - This is in English, but stars Sofie Grabol of The Killing fame, and a host of other scandi stars. Set in the Norwegian arctic.

Just binged season 2 of Counterpart. Enjoyed it. Was a bit concerned they were going to try and drag it out with more seasons. They kept it moving with a good ending.
Now for Killing Eve once more episodes are released.

Just started Tin Star last night. Enjoyed the 1st ep. Tim Roth is usually pretty reliable.

It's easy to watch and flows nicely, touched with the occasional slice of black humour.

Thoroughly enjoying Pagans Peak, just fantastic.

Incredible scenery, excellent dark brooding soundtrack, enveloping plot, a lot to like.

Looking forward toTin Star! Stars Tim Roth and it's a joint UK/Canadian production

https://www.sbs.com.au/ondemand/video/1467331139807/tin-star

https://www.rottentomatoes.com/tv/tin_star/s01

< Set in the majestic Canadian Rockies, Tin Star tells the story of Jim Worth (Roth), a former British detective now small town police chief, who brings his family to the tiny, tranquil town of Little Big Bear for a better life. When a vast new oil refinery, fronted by corporate liaison Elizabeth Bradshaw (Hendricks), opens nearby and their new home is flooded with workers looking for drugs, gambling and prostitution, Jim has to work hard to protect his family and the town from organized crime. Then crime strikes back. And when Jim's family suffers a shocking tragedy, old, dark and dangerous secrets surface. We discover that Jim is not the man we think he is but is in fact 'Jack' - the professional name for his alcoholic alter-ego: a man more unpredictable, more charismatic and infinitely more menacing than Jim. Part drama, part thriller and part dark comedy, Tin Star is an exhilaratingly smart, breathlessly suspenseful thrill ride of a show as deceit, guilt, love, and all-consuming rage lead inexorably to a gut-wrenching finale. >

Sadly Tin Star started to lose the plot in the last couple of episodes!
